The FE module comprises feature selection and extraction phases. Firstly, by merging the Random Forest (RaF) and Relief-F (ReF) algorithms, we developed a hybrid feature selector based on grey correlation analysis (GCA) to eliminate feature redundancy. Secondly, a radial basis Kernel function and principal component analysis (KPCA) are integrated into the feature-extraction module for dimensional reduction. Thirdly, the Bayesian Optimization (BO) algorithm is used to fine-tune the control parameters of a BNN and provides more accurate results by avoiding the optimal local trapping. The proposed FE-BNN-BO framework works in such a way to ensure stability, convergence, and accuracy. The proposed FE-BNN-BO model is tested on the hourly load data obtained from the PJM, USA, electricity ...

The reliable delivery of packets is the major concern for the entire Internet service providers (... more The reliable delivery of packets is the major concern for the entire Internet service providers (ISPs) using Voice over internet protocols (VoIP). Therefore, quality of service (QoS) is a fundamental task for all VoIP using organizations. Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed way to ensure QoS, due to the fact that the QoS labels may be peeled off the packet while in the transition through various network elements. The performance of a network can be enhanced by Integrating QoS with internet protocol (IP) and multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) networks. In this paper we analyzed the QoS performance of VoIP in converged MPLS networks. Since IP systems are exceptionally dynamic, therefore progressive traffic monitoring and administration are needed before VoIP is even transmitted in a network infrastructure. This study provides a new configuration administration over an ISP network infrastructure comprised of converged networks carrying multiple VoIP instances. It is achieved using ...

The stability of doped systems is analyzed by computing their formation energies, which exhibits a strong interdependence on the dopants atomic numbers. Our results show that the versatile electronic and magnetic properties can be obtained by TM-doping, which are ranging from ferromagnetic half-metal (V-, Cr-, and Fe-doped systems), magnetic/non-magnetic semiconductors (Mn-, Co-/Ni-doped systems), and magnetic metal (Cu-doped system). From total and orbital resolved partial density of states, it is found that 3d orbitals of dopant atoms are playing the key role in tunning the physical properties of the STO. The induced magnetism in these doped systems is explained by comparing the valence electronic configurations of host (Ti) and doped (TM) atoms. Our findings may trigger further experimental researches to obtain stable magnetic properties in TM-doped STO systems.

The technique is discussed in relation to earlier TVA work in which volatilization from a heated polymer sample was followed. Design and operation of a subambient TVA system are described, and examples of the application of the technique to the study of the degradation products of seven polymers are considered.

Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) is a promising "liquid biopsy" approach to genomic characterization of mCRPC. Methods: We performed deep targeted sequencing of 72 mCRPC-related genes in baseline cfDNA from 62 chemotherapy-naïve mCRPC patients enrolled in an ongoing randomized phase II trial of abiraterone vs enzalutamide (NCT02125357). Genomic alterations in cfDNA were examined for association with clinical variables including time on treatment. Results: Evidence for ctDNA was detected in 38 of 62 (61.3%) cfDNA samples at baseline with 27 samples harbouring ≥1 mutation(s) with an allele fraction above 1%, and 28 samples containing copy number alterations affecting at ≥2 genes. Patients with confirmed ctDNA displayed a trend towards higher cfDNA yield (p = 0.07), higher baseline PSA (p = 0.14), and shorter time on treatment (p = 0.12). AR amplification was found in 17 patients and associated with shorter time on treatment (median 200 vs 420 days, p = 3.5 x 10 −4). AR mutations were found in 6 patients, exhibited mutual exclusivity with amplifications, and correlated with prior non-steroidal anti-androgen therapy. TP53 and BRCA2 inactivating alterations were detected in 17 and 9 patients respectively and were associated with shorter time on treatment (median 236 vs 420 days, p = 1.1 x 10 −4 ; median 120 vs 342 days, p = 5.6 x 10 −5 , respectively). The associations for AR, TP53 and BRCA2 remained significant after adjusting for patient age, baseline PSA and ctDNA presence (p < 0.005). Conclusions: In this preliminary analysis, the majority of patients with treatment-naïve mCRPC had detectable ctDNA and the presence of certain genomic aberrations was associated with shorter duration of therapy with abiraterone or enzalutamide. CtDNA holds great potential as a minimally-invasive biomarker to identify chemotherapy-naïve mCRPC patients that have poor therapeutic outcomes.

The virus had mean death time of about 120hours. The interacerebral pathogencity index (ICPI) and intravenous pathogenicity index (IVPI) values were found to be 0.11 and 0.0.0 in day-old and 6-week old chicks, respectively. The embryo infectivity 50 per cent end point (EID50) of the virus was found to be 1010.49 in 9- day old embryonating eggs. One hundred day-old chicks were reared in an isolated room till their maternal antibodies against Newcastle disease (ND) became zero. At the age of four weeks, the chicks were divided into two groups A and B and put in separate rooms. Group' A ' was vaccinated orally with TENDV (EID50 107 at the rate of 0.5 ml per chick while group '8' was kept as unvaccinated control. The chicks of both the groups were marked and re-united (put in one room) 4 days post-vaccination. Haemagglutination inhibition (HI) antibody...

In seven patients who had dyspnea the biopsies were done in erect or semi-erect sitting positions. Definitive diagnosis was obtained from 66 lesions (80.5%) where 46 (70.0%) were mediastinal and the remaining 20 lesions (30.0%) arising from the lung. Of the 46 mediastinal lesions where specific diagnosis were made, 42 (91.0%) were anterior and four (0.9%) posterior mediastinal lesions. The majority of these anterior mediastinal masses were lymphomatous nodes followed by germ cell tumours whereas all four posterior mediastinal masses were neurogenic. Of the lung lesions, 19 were primary malignancies. The remaining lung lesion which was located posteriorly was cryptococcus infection. One patient developed massive hemothorax, but subsequently recovered. No significant complications were enco...

The basic objective of the study was to determine the profitability of backyard poultry production. Primary and secondary data were collected during the study; primary data through personal interview with the respondents (farmers), using well-structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics such as tables, frequency distribution, and percentages were used to present the socioeconomic characteristics of the poultry farmers. The analysis showed that 30 per cent of the respondents were males and 70 per cent were females. OLS estimation technique was used to estimate the cost function. The coefficients of the estimated cost function is the elongated S-shaped and hence consistent with the cost theory. From the value of the coefficient of determination (R 2) it can be said that the cubic model is the best fit and the independent variable (output of bird) explains 90% variation in total cost. Also the profit model was used to determine the impact of price per egg, price per bird and cost per bird. The model suggests that the price per egg and price per bird are statistically significant while the cost per bird was statistically non significant. Finally it is recommended that high producing strains like Fayumi and RIR be introduced for improving the production performance of household poultry. Also Government may encourage private sector for availability of balance feed in the study area to boost productivity of the backyard poultry farming.

The thermal degradation behaeiour of the alkaline earth metal polymethacrylates has been compared... more The thermal degradation behaeiour of the alkaline earth metal polymethacrylates has been compared with that of the corresponding acetates and that of the alkali metal polymethacrylates, using thermal t'olatilisation analysis, thermogracimetry and analysis of the sereral product fractions and partially degraded polymer. The salt polymers resemble the acetates only in the order of their stabilities which increase with the size of the metal ion. Chain scission and depolymerisation, which was found to be an important process in the alkali metal polymethacrylate series, cannot occur to the same extent in the all'aline earth metal series because, except in the case of the magnesium salt, the monomers are im'olatile and cannot distil out of the reaction zone. The alternatice process, incoh'ing formation of ketones and metal carbonate or oxide, therefore predominates. There is some et'idence that chain scission occurs in the case of magnesium polymethacrylate. The mechanism of degradation is discussed.
