These graphs used a multitude of different visual techniques in an effort to communicate information to a reader. Despite the many important applications for which graphs are used and the frequency of their use, little is known about what techniques make a graph most effective at communicating information to a reader. This paucity of knowledge stems largely from a dearth of empirical investigations pertaining to graphs. A major problem encountered by researchers who wish to undertake sound empirical research into the effectiveness of graphical presentations is the shortage of suitable tools. This article presents a computer software tool, Graphics Visualization, which offers the researcher an inexpensive yet accurate and reliable method of performing empirical research into factors that affect the accuracy and speed by which a reader can interpret data encoded within a graph.

It evaluates the links between human, social and financial capital of entrepreneurs, innovation and firm growth. Our goal through this model is to demonstrate that it is through the process of innovation these capitals are converted into growth. Based on an analysis of data from 228 Tunisian micro-enterprises, we concluded the mediation possibility of innovation on small business growth.

In particular, we have analyzed separately the impact of the dynamic resources of the entrepreneur-manager and the impact of the firm strategic orientation on the nature of the international commitment behavior. The results show that the fundamental role played by the entrepreneur both in the precocious starting phase and in the rapid speed of international expansion of his young enterprise. Moreover, the strategic skills linked to the international affairs, the past experiences and the social networks constitute, along with the international view of the entrepreneur-manager, the key variables for crossing the frontiers as well as the accelerating variables of the speed of the future international commitment.

In this paper, the authors investigate how the human, social, and financial capital of entrepreneurs influences the capacity of small business to succeed. The objective through this model is to demonstrate that it is through the process of innovation these capitals are converted into success. Design/methodology/approach – The paper suggests an original, conceptual framework for how small businesses can succeed. Findings – To validate this mediational model, the authors used the conditions/steps proposed by Baron and Kenny (1986). Research limitations/implications – The results of this study have implications for both research and practice. This study provides a new contribution to the existing literature by introducing the innovation in the explanation of the links between these capitals and small business success, i.e. business with greater access to human and financial resources are ...
