The aim of this article is to carry out an econometric analysis of the determinants of tobacco consumption among students at the Assane SECK University in Ziguinchor (ASUZ). The study was carried out from 5 March to 12 April 2021 on all tobacco using students enrolled from Bachelor's to Master's level in this university. We interviewed 54 students who used tobacco, 27 of whom were regular smokers and 27 occasional smokers. Through regression on a binary logistic model, the results obtained revealed that female gender, undergraduate enrolment, physical activity or being married are the factors that most influence smoking at the ASUZ.

Indeed, everywhere else in Africa, we are witness in grevolts against the conclusions of the agreements of the Berlin conference of 1885 which had drawn African borders without takingin to account ethnic, cultural and linguistic differences. This illogical risky route is no stranger to the independence crisis of Casamance in 1982 in southern Senegal, even if it only broke out in 1982, carried by the MFDC (Mouvement des Forces Démocratiques de la Casamance) which demands independence. of Casamance. Consequently, this regionisen gulfed in a separatist conflict which, today, is more than thirty-eighty ear sold and its consequences are harmful to the lives of the populations and has qualitatively upset the socio-economic structures. Thus, we are witnessing a strong involvement of civil society mediators, in particular NGOs, religious, traditional ...

This is the question that this research proposes to answer through a qualitative approach based on content analysis. For this, we are inspired by the theory of discourse analysis and use crisis communication as an explanatory frame work for the phenomenon studied. Political communication is rather a set of social actions or, to put it better, a set of practices. Even if political communication seems to take the place of propaganda in several regimes, it is appropriate, in this article, to examine more closely to what extent this communication on the COVID-19 pandemic offers information likely to nurture the conscience and knowledge of the citizen. From this perspective, it would be desirable to focus on better understanding political practices. Adopting this issue is still taking communication techniques seriously in the form of adhering to specific ways of thinking and acting in light of what leaders p...

CTOs are more common in patients with diabetes, yet CTO PCI is less often attempted in patients with diabetes than in patients without. The association between diabetes and health status after CTO PCI is unknown. In the 12-center OPEN-CTO PCI registry (Outcomes, Patient Health Status, and Efficiency in Chronic Total Occlusion Registry), patients with and without diabetes were assessed for technical success, periprocedural complications, and health status over 1 year following CTO PCI using the Seattle Angina Questionnaire and the Rose Dyspnea Scale. Hierarchical modified Poisson regression was used to examine the independent association between diabetes and technical success, and hierarchical multiv...
