F or video based eye tracking system, there are a lot of concerns wh ich as to take into count. Different types of occl usion like occlusion for eyebrows or eyelashes are the major p r blem for iris detection. The intensity of iris, e yelashes and eyebrows are almost similar. Hence, it is difficult to differentiate between them. In our paper, we pr oposed a method which will resolve the occlusion of eyelashes and e yebrows for combined eye region and iris tracking. We approached in a procedural way. Two modules are use d. They are: rough eye region detection and iris ce nter detection. In the first module, the face region is extracted from the image frame based on haar like feature. Eye region is detected by vertical and horizontal edge information of face ROI. In second module, some of processing task is done on detected rough eye region to find i ris center. Here, the intensity of d...

The tanning industries of Hazaribagh are processing some 220 metric tons of hide a day with an associated release of 600 - 1000 Kg of tanned skin-cut waste (SCW) resulting from per ton processed hide. The SCW are protein-rich and are unscientifically used to produce protein-concentrates for poultry and fish feeds, and organic fertilizer. In view of the facts, a huge migration of chromium can happen into poultry products, fish and vegetables, and further bio-magnify into food chain. The target population of this phenomenon is also huge. Regional bio-concentration of chromium was investigated in commercially produced chicken eggs. Though the routes of distribution of this hugely produced protein-concentrates from SCW are unknown, eggs were sampled from Dhaka and its nearby other seven districts covering the ce...

Number of seedlings hill-1 significantly influenced growth and yield components except 1000-grain weight. It was found that the highest number of grains panicle-1 (100.92) and grain yield (5.37 t ha-1) were resulted from transplanting of 3 seedlings hill-1 and the lowest grain yield (4.38 t ha-1) was obtain from the transplanting of 1 seedling hill-1. The highest straw yield (7.02 t ha-1) was obtain from the transplanting of 4 seedlings hill-1 and the lowest one (5.64 t ha-1) from the transplanting of 1 seedling hill-1. Nitrogen level significantly influenced growth and yield components. The maximum grains panicle-1 (100.80) and highest grain yield (5.34 t ha-1) were obtained with 80 kg N ha-1. The highest straw yield (6.98 t ha-1) was obtained at the highest nitrogen level (100 kg N ha-1). Result showed that 3 seedlings hill-1 and 80 kg N ha-1 was optimum to produced maximum yield of BRRI dhan32.

The increase of lift and stall angle improve maneuverability and performance of any fixed wing aircraft. An experimental investigation has been conducted on a two dimensional NACA 2415 airfoil equipped with a rotating cylinder at leading edge. Rotating cylinder serve as active control device for boundary layer flow separation, thus increasing airfoil’s lift and stall angle of attack. The effect of angle of attack, momentum injection ratio (ratio of cylinder linear motion to free stream air velocity) on the lift coefficient, drag coefficient and stall angle of attack are investigated in this study. The use of rotating cylinder at the leading edge of the airfoil increases the lift coefficient compared to the conventional NACA 2415 airfoil about 38.63% and stall angle increases to 16° from 12° at momentum injection ratio of 0.1173.
