The teaching profession is a highly sophisticated profession that regularly reaches out past acad... more The teaching profession is a highly sophisticated profession that regularly reaches out past academics. Besides ensuring that students experience scholastic success, teachers must also work as surrogate parents, guides and counselors, and even almost-politicians. There is almost no limit to the jobs a teacher may play. The purpose of the present study was to study the teacher effectiveness of secondary school teachers of Sonepat district. For this study, a sample of 120 secondary school teachers was selected. The teacher effectiveness scale developed by Puri and Gakhar (2010) was used to measure teachers’ teaching effectiveness. The study’s findings revealed no significant difference between the teacher effectiveness of male and female secondary teachers of Sonepat district. It also revealed that gender does not affect teaching efficiency or effectiveness.

Self-concept is the cognitive thinking aspect of the self (related to one’s self image), and it g... more Self-concept is the cognitive thinking aspect of the self (related to one’s self image), and it generally refers to the totality of a complex, organized, and dynamic system of learned beliefs, attitudes, and opinions that each person holds to be true about his or her personal existence and where he or she belongs in the world. The main concern of this paper is to study the self concept of boys and girls of rural area. For this purpose the sample was selected from 2 rural schools of Panipat district. A numbers of 100 students (50 boys and 50 girls) were participated in the study. Random sampling was used in the study. Self Concept rating Scale developed by Deo (1998) was used to collect data. The results revealed that there is no significant relationship between the self concept of boys and girls.

The purpose of the present study was to see the relationship between emotional maturity and adjus... more The purpose of the present study was to see the relationship between emotional maturity and adjustment of D.Ed. students and to see the impact of gender and types of institutions on emotional maturity and adjustment. For this purpose 100 student of D.Ed. (50 boys + 50 girls) were selected from different colleges of Sonipat. To collect the required data for the present study EMS by Yashvir Singh and Bell adjustment inventory (R.K.Ojha) was administered on all subjects. Scoring was done according to the norms and instruction given in the manual and final analysis was completed by calculating mean, standard deviation, correlation and t-value. The results of the present study revealed that the Girls students are more emotional mature than boys students. The girls students are more adjusted with their environment than boys students and the government students are having more capabilities for adjustment than private students. This study also reveals that there exist a significant relationship between student's emotional maturity and adjustment level. The findings of the present study may be helpful to the students, teachers, principals, administrators and educational planners.
