Research paper thumbnail of Solid–liquid equilibrium, thermal and physicochemical studies of organic eutectics

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2011

The values of enthalpy of fusion of pure components and binary eutectics have been determined using differential scanning calorimeter (Mettler DSC-4000 system). The thermal properties of the materials, such as, heat of mixing, entropy of fusion, roughness parameter, interfacial energy, and excess thermodynamic functions were computed using the enthalpy of fusion values. The microstructures of eutectics were developed using unidirectional thermal gradient, and regions of interest for microstructures were photographed. Keywords Thermal analysis Á Phase diagram Á Microstructure Á Growth kinetics at different undercooling Á Eutectic Manjeet Singh and Priyanka Pandey have made equal contribution in this study.

At pH 3, 5 and 6, the lipid contents were 12%, 48% and 44%, respectively. There was only a small change in the fatty acid profile over the pH range examined, although the ergosterol content decreased by a third as the pH increased.

At 7 days subsequent to 60 minutes of ischemia in the rat, there was marked thinning of the inner retinal layers. There were scattered TUNEL-positive cells within the inner retina, peaking at 24 to 48 hours and persisting for at least 7 days. p53 immunochemistry demonstrated elevated protein levels within the inner retina; this finding peaked at 24 to
