Nowadays, we observe a progressive increase amount of virtual technologies application. VR device... more Nowadays, we observe a progressive increase amount of virtual technologies application. VR devices, i.e. HMDs, are still struggling with the VAC. It is possible to “implement” the accommodation mechanism in HMDs using a varifocal system. By using focus tuneable lenses, we achieve high speed and smoothness of displacement of the virtual image plane. This solution involves also unfavourable changes of geometrical parameters of the projected image i.e. change in magnification. This can be solved by software modification parameters of the virtual camera. This paper provides a view on the optics and setup for transmission in the sub-Terahertz Band (0.... more This paper provides a view on the optics and setup for transmission in the sub-Terahertz Band (0.1–1 THz), which is envisioned as a key technology to satisfy the increasing demand for higher speed wireless communication. A terahertz free space transmission system based on Frequency multiplying source and InGaAs HEMT detector is presented. We used specially designed and 3D printed optics. It was optimized for sub 200 GHz carrier frequency with main purpose to collimate THz beam and allowing setup operation for over 100 m.

SteamVR technology has become very popular in virtual reality applications. The most common examp... more SteamVR technology has become very popular in virtual reality applications. The most common example of its use are the HTC VIVE controllers. Applications, however, are not limited to controllers held directly in the hands. SteamVR trackers can also be placed on real objects that have their representation in the virtual world. Due to the specificity of use, it is necessary to choose the optimal part of the object to which the tracker will be attached. However, it is not always possible to obtain satisfactory results with this method. An alternative solution is a dedicated tracker project sometimes with an original detector constellation. Regardless of which path the trackers and VR applications designers will follow, it is indispensable to be able to verify the correct operation of the system: object and associated tracker, in laboratory conditions. Modern cameras working in various spectral bands can be successfully applied in many areas of our... more Modern cameras working in various spectral bands can be successfully applied in many areas of our lives. Observational capabilities of modern cameras are widely utilized in the area of public security systems while measurement functionalities of cameras are the domain of Machine Vision Systems used mainly in industry applications. The development of vision techniques and data processing methods changed the perception of vision systems as a multifunction, observation and measurement systems. Laser photography device, developed in the Institute of Optoelectronics, Military University of Technology is an example of such imaging device. One of properties of time-spatial framing method is the ability to perform complex spatial analysis of observed scene thanks to proper control of acquisition parameters and metadata processing. This property can be very useful especially in real-time spatial and geographic information systems. The paper presents theoretical applications of time-spatial framing method and rst experimental results.

The development of the final form of the THz scanner in MIMO technology (Multiple Input Multiple ... more The development of the final form of the THz scanner in MIMO technology (Multiple Input Multiple Output) requires the preparation of a measuring station that integrates control and measurement, vision and mechanical systems. The management of such a measurement system can be improved by using elements of virtual technologies. Spatial analyzes concerning a measurement object can be made using measurement space virtualization based on data from a ToF (Time of Flight) camera. Collision-free operation of the XY type scanner and Robot arm can be verified in virtual space. The correct operation of the measurement system can be verified using the augmented reality technology. The abovementioned elements very well fit into the idea of the so-called Industry 4.0 in which we are talking about cyber-physical systems.
