Esta reflexion se encamina a fortalecer la igualdad entre los seres humanos sin distinciones de ... more Esta reflexion se encamina a fortalecer la igualdad entre los seres humanos sin distinciones de genero, raza, etnia y sexo. Se abordan diferencias surgidas desde el colonialismo que han generado estructuras, etiquetas y estereotipos de rol, y han marcado no solamente la educacion, sino la salud y el conocimiento en si y que ha permeado las fronteras del aprendizaje en los seres humanos. En este nuevo horizonte se propone la creacion de entornos, practicas y pedagogias centradas en el ser humano de manera integral y en las instituciones dedicadas a procesos de aprendizaje, donde todos somos iguales, pero diferentes en nuestro pensar, sentir y hacer.

to assess the situation of nursing education and to analyze the extent to which baccalaureate lev... more to assess the situation of nursing education and to analyze the extent to which baccalaureate level nursing education programs in Latin America and the Caribbean are preparing graduates to contribute to the achievement of Universal Health. quantitative, descriptive/exploratory, cross-sectional study carried out in 25 countries. a total of 246 nursing schools participated in the study. Faculty with doctoral level degrees totaled 31.3%, without Brazil this is reduced to 8.3%. The ratio of clinical experiences in primary health care services to hospital-based services was 0.63, indicating that students receive more clinical experiences in hospital settings. The results suggested a need for improvement in internet access; information technology; accessibility for the disabled; program, faculty and student evaluation; and teaching/learning methods. there is heterogeneity in nursing education in Latin America and the Caribbean. Introduction: This study addressed the evaluation of care practice learning among nursing student... more Introduction: This study addressed the evaluation of care practice learning among nursing students from 2 Bogotá´s private universities with professional formation programs of 10 semesters. Objective: The objective was to analyze: how care practice learning is being assessed among the students from the nursing faculties of universities A and B? Methods: The research design corresponds to an assessment study. Nineteen subject-contents and 42 academic staff were considered for the analysis. Data were gathered through a survey instrument for each group. Results: It was similar in both programs in relation to the low number of competencies or achieved learning objectives related to nursing care knowledge. The highest number of achieved competencies was found in program subjects offered by masters-level nursing teachers. A learning care practice evaluation model, which could orient the teaching-learning and feedback processes, was not found.
