Definition of PMS and explanation about the different types of premenstrual disorders. How to accurately diagnose PMS. Discussion about various treatment options available in accordance with the current literature. Learning objectives Develop an understanding of the pathophysiology behind PMS. How to diagnose PMS accurately and understand the different classifications of PMS. How to treat PMS, including the different treatment options available and discussion about side effects and benefits. Ethical issues Discussion about the long-term risks of GnRH analogue use, and the impact of long-term estrogen deficiency following a bilateral salpingoophorectomy. Misdiagnosed PMS in patients with underlying psychiatric and medical conditions.

This phase of the implementation of the advanced control and optimization system (multivariable model based constraint control) allowed an increase of about 4%

One of the most popular scheme is the model-based fault diagnostic. Recently, artificial intelligence techniques have been found to be suitable for fault detection and diagnosis and a variety of techniques have been proposed in this area. However, only few applications and real time implementation of the schemes

Research paper thumbnail of Detection of defects in automotive metal components through computer vision

These components may present three types of defects, which are: central hole closed or partially closed; absence of thread on the bolts; burr on the weld connections. For each type of defect different image processing and analysis algorithms were tested and a specific setup (type and pose of the cameras and illumination) was developed. The results suggest a good efficiency of the vision system and its potential full spreading industrialization.

European Journal of Internal Medicine, 2009

Immunologic studies showed an increased IgA level with no further abnormalities. The skin biopsy was inconclusive and a renal biopsy was performed. The latter showed IgA deposits with findings suggesting HSP. HSP is self-limited in the great majority of cases, in contrast to many other forms of systemic vasculitis. There is a male predominance with reported male-to-female ratios of 1,2:1-1,8:1 and is rare in adults (90% of the cases occur in the paediatric age), but there are no comparable epidemiologic data. Adults are at increased risk for developing significant renal involvement including end-stage renal disease. At present, there is no known therapeutic regimen to prevent progression of renal involvement.

This study aims to ana-lyse whether different types of haemodialysis (HD) therapies (low and high flux dialysers) could modify peripheral blood lymphocyte activation status ...

The studied distillation column showed to be an excellent research field, but looking for the balance between scientific development and industrial application it is always important to take into consideration
