It follows a Descriptive-Survey Research Design utilizing FGD, KII and survey questionnaire as data gathering methodologies and instrument. To analyze the data, frequency count, percentage, and weighted mean were used. It was found out that despite the limited number of barangay ordinances catering to identified areas, the barangay's Good Governance Index (GGI) is 88.8 (Very Satisfactory). However, it was identified that with limited barangay ordinances, not all reported cases were solved and penalized. Majority of the residents believed that the inefficiency was caused by miscommunication between barangay officials due to political differences. Other identified contributory factors include: improper information dissemination and inadequate communication with residents. Despite these problems, majority of the residents are still highly and moderately satisfied of their local leaders' leadership. Some of the priority needs on governance include: training on local governance, team building workshops (recollections and retreats), and office management seminars. As such, it was recommended that extension planners conduct SWOT analysis and other activities in the barangay to address neglected areas on governance and education.

Specifically, it presented a profile of programs; assessed the sustainability, relevance, and accessibility; and determined the degree of achievement of the expected outputs of the programs. The study utilized a mixed model of quantitative and qualitative methods. It used a validated researcher-made questionnaire as a data-gathering instrument. Triangulation through structured interview and secondary documents analysis was conducted. Stratified and random sampling was used to determine the samples of students and teachers while the fishbowl technique was used to draw samples of public schools both in secondary and elementary levels in the whole province of Camarines Sur. Total enumeration of school heads was considered in the Key Informants Interview (KII). The study reveals that majority of the programs were relevant, accessible, and sustainable. The achievement of the CFSS outcomes such as retention rate and percentage of wellnourished children are relatively satisfactory while the Mean Percentage Score (MPS) in National Achievement Test (NAT) is low average. The programs addressed Goal 2 (Zero Hunger); Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being); Goal 4 (Quality Education); Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation); Goal 13 (Climate Action) and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The programs that were commonly implemented by school respondents are Brigada Eskwela Plus; Youth for Environment in School (YES); Every Child a Reader Program (ECARP). Massive anti-child labor and anti-bullying campaigns; intensified linkages and resource generation; recovery and sustainability measures for inactive programs which are relevant but no longer implemented were some of the recommendations.

As a content-based approach, it is anchored more on the concepts of circles and their applications rather than the concepts of angles. As a learner-based approach, it is based on Sticht theory of functional context learning which stresses the importance of making learning relevant to the experiences of the learners and their work context. This study investigated the effect of functional approach in the mathematics performance of college students. It likewise looked into its effectiveness in developing conceptual understanding, computation and problem solving skills and the factors associated with the development of these skills. It employed the quasi-experimental method specifically the non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Findings revealed that the functional approach is more effective in raising the performance of students to the standard level in conceptual understanding, computation and problem solving skills than the traditional approach. It was also found out that factors such as previous ratings in mathematics, scholastic aptitude, attitude towards mathematics and gender are associated with development of the three mathematics skills. Income of the family is not associated with mathematics skills development. Functional approach in teaching Plane Trigonometry is recommended since it is anchored on the concepts of circles and circular functions which offers sound background materials for the study of higher mathematics and a high potential for the development of conceptual, computational and problem solving skills because it make use of students' daily work context.
