Applying the mass action law the reactions lead to a system of ordinary differential equations. For a linear chain of reactions we propose certain simplifications of the ODE system as well as a solution of the initial problem for the system. Some numerical examples are presented.

Stochastic arithmetic provides confidence intervals for the numerical results and can be implemented in any existing numerical software by redefining types of the variables and overloading the operators on them. Here some properties of stochastic arithmetic are further investigated and applied to the computation of inner products and the solution to linear systems. Several numerical experiments are performed showing the efficiency of the proposed approach.
A mobility model correction for ‘atomistic’ drift-diffusion simulation

A modified mobility model for the 'atomistic' simulations is proposed to suppress the error related to the fictitious charge trapping.
Modeling of the luminescence-decay kinetics of self-trapped excitons at a high excitation density under conditions of absorption saturation

In this abstract we show the significant variability levels of future 18 and 13nm device bulk-CMOS technologies as well as its dramatic effect on the yield of memory cells, and what kind of circuit solution would be required to maintain the current yield level. Later, we discuss the impact of errors at the system level, and different approaches at system level to adapt the
Neutron capture measurements at the CERN-NTOF facility for ADS applications

The high instantaneous neutron flux, high resolution and low background make this facility well suited for high quality neutron cross section measurements. The scientific programme of the nTOF collaboration include the measurements of neutron capture, fission and (n, xn) reaction cross sections for nuclear technology, nuclear
