Garments were washed with enzyme to remove hairiness. biopolished. Then garments were subjected to a bleach concentration with bleaching powder of 2.5 g/L for 3 and 5 minutes at 50 o C temperature and other were bleached with hydrogen peroxide of 2.5 g/L for 5 and 10 minutes. The physical and colour fastness properties were analyzed in before and after washing. The properties that were analyzed include tensile strength, seam strength, fabric weight, and colour fastness to water, acid, alkali, washing and rubbing. Bleach washed garments by two different bleaching agent exhibit a great influence on the physical and colour fastness properties than the unwashed garments.

Dyes which have been selected for the study contain both chloro triazine and sulphone reactive groups in the same molecule. After treating the fabric with cationizer, these samples are dyed in two different hues (Red & Blue) at three shade percentage (o.5%, 1.0%, 2.0%) followed by exhaust method. The fastness ratings are compared between the cationizer-free dyed samples and cationizer-treated dyed samples of the respective shade percentage. This experiment has revealed that the dyed fabric treated with cationizer has resulted in a general improvement in wash and rubbing fastness. Not only that, the color strength and color co-ordinate of the all the samples are measured by spectrophotometer to differentiate the cationizer treated samples to only dyed specimen. However, after testing of all samples, it is observed that fabric dy...

Eucalyptus leaves were selected in this study as a source of natural dye along with some of the most generally used mordants to observe the impact of dyeing on jute fabric while trying to keep the dyeing parameters at a minimum level. Dyes were extracted from eucalyptus leaves by boiling in water. Then, the fabric was pre-mordanted using different synthetic mordanting agents, such as alum, potassium dichromate, copper sulphate and ferrous sulphate, which are generally used to substantively enhance the dyestuff on textile fabrics and to improve the fastness properties. Synthetic mordant was used here instead of natural mordant due to the better dyeing compatibility of jute fabric with eucalyptus leaves, since natural mordant has little effect on jute fabric during the process of dyeing. T... more The aim of this research is to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on the stock prices of UAE banks. The regressions were applied to estimate the impact of COVID-19 data on the banks’ stock. The data include information about confirmed COVID-19 and the daily prices of the banks from October till December of 2020. The empirical results show that the stock prices of the banks in UAE are negatively and significantly impacted by the reported number of daily Covid-19 cases. However, the daily reported covid-19 fatalities have no significant impact on the stock price. Besides some implications, such as future pandemics should have a similar impact on the stock market of UAE can be predicted based on the empirical results. These results would help the government and financial regulators in undertaking in advance the controlling measures to curb down the spread of contagions to sustain the banking sector performance in the stock market. Hence, this research paper will be beneficial for the banks globally and for governments, to understand the overall impact of pandemics on the financial market and the greater economy.

Research paper thumbnail of Impact of Fabric Density, Color and Composition of Plain weave Fabric on Ultraviolet Protective Factor

The fabric of different composition (100% cotton, 60/40 CVC), two color (black, red) and various density (Ends per inch, Picks per inch) collected. Then UPF rating was measured by spectrophotometer in vitro method. Experimental result showed that higher the fabric density and weight; higher the protection from ultraviolet rays. Besides, it also revealed that black fabric has more UV protection ability than the red one. Another finding of this study is that polyester content increases the UPF value.

The production rate of the existing layout was not close to the target. The target was 175 pieces per hour but actual production was 138 pieces per hour. So we analyzed the layout and found out the bottleneck area. Then we rearranged the workload by work sharing and reduced manpower. By doing so, actual production was 160 pieces per hour, which is near to the target, and line efficiency increased to 77%, where the existing sewing line layout was 55%. After reducing the bottleneck in sewing line capacity, we achieved 160 pieces per hour against the 138 pieces in the existing layout.
