On the basis of present investigation, it is concluded that the potato variety Kufri Lauvkar responded well in terms of growth analytical, yield and quality parameters and suitable for commercial production in Malwa condition. potato variety Kufri Lauvkar was observed best for growth (i.e. days to 50% germination, number of sprouts plant-1, plant height, number of leaves plant-1, diameter of stem and leaf area plant-1, yield characters (early days yield plot-1, total tubers hectare-1 and marketable tubers yield plot-1 and q hectare-1) was recorded maximum in this variety. The paper has examined district-level trends and patterns in crop diversification in Madhya Prade... more The paper has examined district-level trends and patterns in crop diversification in Madhya Pradesh for the period 2001-2 to 2014-15 using Simpson Index of Diversification (SID). The study has revealed that cropping pattern at state level is transforming from major crops to high-value crops but the transformation is not uniform across the district. The values of SID have confirmed that the agricultural economy has diversified in all the states with some fluctuations in case of total cereals, total pulses, total oilseed, total food grains and nonfood grains. The results of Fixed Effect Model have revealed cropping intensity, average annual rainfall and gross irrigated area to be the major determinants of crop diversification. The study has suggested that policy support in terms of enhanced cropping intensity, gross irrigated area and insurance coverage, investment in agricultural research and education, and technology development need to be extended to the farmers.

The study was carried out in the Department of Food Science and Technology, JNKVV, Jabalpur, MP, ... more The study was carried out in the Department of Food Science and Technology, JNKVV, Jabalpur, MP, India, with the objectives to develop the Nutri-rich snack food (Sev) based on Minor Millet, (Kodo) and to evaluate the sensory and nutritional quality of the product. Chickpea and soybean is an important legume with a rich source of protein and dietary fiber. Millets are nutritionally superior to other cereals. Minor millet Kodo is a nutritious millet with the highest dietary fiber (14.3%) makes it ideal food. On the basis of present findings it was concluded that S 3 (60:20:20 ratio of chickpea, Kodo and soy flour) was highest acceptable with respect to all sensory attributes like colour and appearance, taste, flavor, texture and overall acceptability and physical characteristics of final product with the nutritional value of carbohydrates, protein, ash, fat and crude fibre with the percentage of 52.16, 25.06, 2.80, 8.80 and 5.0 respectively. Functional properties are directly related to the quality of the final product. In the present investigation, the high content of oil in the blends having a high ratio of soy flour may develop off-flavor. Thus it could not be used beyond 20 percent.

Image processing is always being a research field for the researcher. The Image denoising is one ... more Image processing is always being a research field for the researcher. The Image denoising is one of the important areas of image processing. There are several methods for image denoising in spatial and transform domain. The current trends of the image denoising research are the evolution of mixed domain methods. In this paper, a mixed domain image denoising method is proposed, which is based on the wavelet transform, median filter and nonlinear diffusion. The wavelet transform is used in this paper to convert the spatial domain image to wavelet domain coefficients. The detail component are removed due to the most of the image part is in approximation part. The approximation coefficient is then filtering by nonlinear diffusion and median filter separately. The peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), root mean square error (RMSE) and mean structural similarity index matrix (MSSIM) are used as the performance parameter. The different wavelet families are used to optimize the performance of denoising. The Coiflet2 wavelet and diffusion algorithm are giving the best denoising result.

Images are nowadays, very fundamental type data for transmission. Due to the various components a... more Images are nowadays, very fundamental type data for transmission. Due to the various components and high speed transmission, images are corrupted by the noises. The Image denoising is required at the receiver end for the faithful communication. There are several methods for image denoising in spatial and transform domain. The current trends of the image denoising research are the evolution of mixed domain methods. In this paper, a mixed domain image denoising method is proposed, which is based on the wavelet transform, median filter and nonlinear diffusion based methods. The wavelet transform is used in this paper to convert the spatial domain image to wavelet domain coefficients. WT produces approximation, horizontal detail, vertical detail and diagonal detail coefficient which represent the various spatial frequency bands. The detail component are removed due to the most of the image part is in approximation part. The approximation coefficient is also filter by fuzzy filters and wiener filter separately. Median and moving average based fuzzy filter are used to apply the filtering on probabilistic way. The trapezoidal membership function are used for the filtering .The peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and mean square error (MSE) are used as the performance parameter. The Haar wavelet is used with various filters to optimize the performance of denoising. The combination of Haar wavelet and ATMED filter are giving the best denoising result.
