Patients were qualified to be examined by a physician based on the results of imaging tests and information provided in the interview. A control group (reference group) was also created, which qualified 30 healthy people (16 women and 14 men) with average training, which were the most similar in terms of analyzed parameters to the people from the study group. The preliminary examination included functional evaluation with the FMS test and the subjective scale of VAS pain. In addition, each of the study participants filled out their own questionnaire. Then, a 14day cycle of stabilization exercises was applied to all participants of the study. After completed rehabilitation, the patients underwent functional assessment again with the FMS test and the subjective VAS pain scale. Results: The results of the study have shown that deep muscle training has a significant effect on the reduction of pain in the lumbar spine. Targeted exercises have a positive effect on the improvement of global movement patterns. Studies show that patients' age had a significant impact on final results in FMS tests. The analysis of the conducted research shows that there are no significant differences between the test group and the control group both in the context of perceived pain and results in the final FMS tests. Studies have confirmed that undertaking regular physical activity has a positive effect on the functional status of patients. Conclusion: Stabilization training in patients with diagnosed discopathy in the lumbar spine has a positive effect on reducing back pain and functional status.

It is constructed analytical model to determine the support reactions. It is defined the values of external loads on the athlete's body. The dependence of the total torque pull muscles, the vertical ground reaction, since the direction of the articular forces of the opponent are shown. It is determined the highest values of static loads in the joints of the lower extremities. It is shown the possibility of using the simulation results in technical and tactical training of athletes.

Such system may not limited subject movement, do not evoke skin sensation connected with movement, should be flexible and ready for different task. Besides, it should be precise and user friendly. At the end, for clinical use, it should have ready-made software to proprioception measurement. The Zebris system a three dimensional motion analysis system based on ultrasound active markers meet all the above criteria. It allows tracking up to 22 active markers, depending on main unit. Clinical Measurement of proprioception is complex and difficult task even in healthy subjects. It is so because of complicated and complex interaction, signal integrations and many possible factors that could affect measurement. In neurological patients, this difficulty increases because of coexisted disturbances in cognition, memory, learning as well as motor control system and ...

Subclinical measurements of psychomotor functions are being used for assessment of mental functions by finding relations with these functions. This study aims to assess the influence of a therapeutic dose of methadone on psychomotor speed in HIV(+) and HIV(-) subjects treated in substitution therapy. Materials and methods. 73 patients [32 HIV(-) and 41 HIV(+)]treated with methadone for an average of 54 months, were examined. The assessment was conducted twice: before and about 1.5 hours after the administration of a therapeutic dose of methadone. Trail Making Test A (TMT A) was completed. The test sheet was placed on a graphic tablet. Execution time was measured in both parts of the test. Results. It was found that the average time of TMT A test completion before methadone administration in HIV(-) subjects is statically significantly shorter than in HIV(+) ones. However, after methadone administration psychomotor speed, measured by the TMT A test, is not statistically significantly different in HIV(-) subjects treated in substitution therapy as compared to HIV(+) individuals. Subjects with HIV (+) performed TMTA test statistically significantly faster after a single dose of methadone. Conclusion. A therapeutic dose of methadone in subjects infected with HIV virus can have an effect on the improvement in psychomotor performance. Interactions of antiretroviral drugs and methadone can lead to changes in the concentration of methadone in the body influencing the regulation of psychomotor activity at the same time.

Mechanical traction of the lumbar spine remains a procedure very willingly used by therapists in ... more Mechanical traction of the lumbar spine remains a procedure very willingly used by therapists in many countries of the world, despite at least equivocal scientific evidence. One of the problems reducing its effectiveness is the problem with the selection of patients for therapy as well as selecting the therapeutic goals and treatment parameters for the patient in an individualized and, at the same time, repeatable manner. In this work, the authors presented such a model developed as part of Research and Development works carried out at the Leśny Dom Seniora in Piastów. W niniejszej pracy autorzy przedstawili taki model wypracowany w ramach prac Badawczo-Rozwojowych prowadzonych w Leśnym Domu Seniora w Piastowie.

The frequency of falls increases with age. Studies show that 18% of people under the age of 45 fall down every year, 25% of those aged 45-65 and 35% of those over 65. Material and Methods: 18 people from the participants of the project “Comprehensive diagnosis and rehabilitation of patients with back pain syndromes and those at risk of falling using innovative therapy” were qualified for the analysis. Patients, before and after therapy, were tested using a stabilometric platform. The test was conducted in a free standing position with eyes open (30 seconds) and then with eyes closed (30 seconds). Results: Comparison of patient results before and after therapy showed a statistically significant (p <0.05) improvement in posture stability expressed in the mean X-axis displacement rate (movement to the sides) and Y (antero-posterior movement) both in the study with eyes open and closed. A shortening of th...
