We studied the relation between the genes encoding the same protein (ATP synthase) in mitochondri... more We studied the relation between the genes encoding the same protein (ATP synthase) in mitochondria and chloroplasts, of the same species. 85 species are studied. The relation is revealed through the unsupervised clustering via elastic map implementation of the points in 64-dimensional space of the triplet frequencies of the genes. The triplet composition was counted with a nucleotide shift of the reading frame along a gene. Three types of clustering have been analyzed: for mitochondria genes solely, for chloroplast genes solely, and for the merged set of the genes from the genomes of both organellae. It was found that the encoded function is the feature in clustering: all the clusters in all three versions of clustering patterns clearly exhibit distinct separation of the genes encoding the same subunit into a separate cluster. This behaviour was found for all three types of cluster patterns.

In this work, the problem of automating the analysis of the kinematics of the human body has been... more In this work, the problem of automating the analysis of the kinematics of the human body has been solved. Data collection was carried out in the form of video recording. The classification of areas of the human body was performed using convolutional neural networks of three different architectures. The developed system solved the classification of target zones of the human body with a precision 0.98 and recall 0.97. This result indicates the ability of the system to analyze the kinematics of the human body.

Reproductive organ transplantation was considered as a potential method for treatment of the ovar... more Reproductive organ transplantation was considered as a potential method for treatment of the ovarian factor, tubal factor, and uterine factor infertility before the advent of advanced assisted reproductive technologies. Uterus transplantation can be considered as the method for treatment of absolute uterine factor infertility similar to transplantation of non-vital organs. However, the clinical use of uterus transplantation in humans causes a lot of problems. The study was aimed to develop a program for assessment of various surgical tissue revascularization techniques for restoration of reproductive function in experimental animals with uterine factor infertility. Chinchilla rabbits (n = 20) were selected for experiments because of the fact that all mammals have similar structure of the organs. The innovative technique involving the use of ovarian arteries instead of uterine arteries (as in the standard protocol) was used in laboratory animals to develop the surgical protocol for transplantation of reproductive tissues. The animal study results show that hemodynamic characteristics of blood supply to the transplanted uterus remain unchanged. This makes it possible to use the surgical method in the experiments on the uterus transplant from a deceased donor. The proposed uterus transplantation protocol ensures high transplant survival rate and normal blood supply to the transplant, along with the reduced risk of injury to the donor and reduced complexity of the surgical procedure.

Previously, highly informative clustering of small watersheds provided over the annual temperatur... more Previously, highly informative clustering of small watersheds provided over the annual temperature course has been reported. Here we report on the interplay between the pattern and the distribution of small watersheds developed over the annual precipitation data. A sounding correlation between these two cluster structures is found. To reveal the correspondence, smart methods of both spatial and comprehensive analysis have been implemented. We used advanced GIS tools to detect the spatial behavior of the data under consideration, and elastic map technique to reveal the cluster patterns in the space of environmental data (temperature and precipitation). Some further applications and perspective studies in this area are discussed.

Here we tried to identify those indices from the data of complete blood analysis, only. We studied the inhomogeneity in the mutual distribution of a number of oncology patients with various types of tumors in the space of qualitative data provided by the complete blood count. The patients with oncology in hematology system were excluded. Ultimate goal is to reveal the relation between such inhomogeneity issues and the cause of a disease. We used the database on complete blood count comprising oncology patients with various causes of tumor development. The analysis has been carried out both by linear ($K$-means) and non-linear (elastic map technique) methods. No linear clustering has been found. It is shown that non-linear statistics based on elastic map technique provides highly efficient treatment procedure allowing to retrieve the differentiation in the patients with two different diseases while having similar symptoms.

Study Design: This was a prospective study. Materials and Methods: Apparently healthy subjects (n = 33) underwent 18F-DOPA PET of the brain using a Discovery PET/CT 600 scanner. Data were processed using standard statistical methods. The Shapiro-Wilk test was used to test data distribution for normality, and Pearson and Spearman covariance and correlation matrices were calculated. The key components were analyzed to assess combined scattering (explained variance). Карповича Цель исследования. Целью данной работы является оценить эффективность применения ботулотоксина при лечении ранней спастичности верхней конечности с учетом предикторов спастичности. Материал и методы. В исследовании приняло участие 20 пациентов, 15 пациентов в остром периоде инсульта и 5 пациентов в остром периоде ЧМТ. В исследуемых группах проводилась нейрореабилитация. В опытной группе дополнительно применялся ботулотоксин типа А. Оценка мышечного тонуса осуществлялась с помощью функциональных шкал: модифицированная шкала Эшворта, модифицированная шкала Тардье, оценка объема активных движений. В ходе исследования оценивался мышечный тонус в разных сегментах верхней конечности, а именно: в плечевом, локтевом и лучезапястном суставе, а также мышечный тонус пальцев кисти и отдельно-большого пальца руки. В исследуемых группах оценка мышечного тонуса проводилась в три этапа. Ведение ботулотоксина осуществлялось под УЗИ-контролем. Для анализа данных использовалась программа IBM SPSS Statistics 23, а также Microsoft Excel. Статистическая обработка полученных данных была произведена с использованием критериев Шапиро-Уилка, Стьюдента, Манна-Уитни и Краскала-Уоллиса, а также нелинейным методом упругих карт. Упругие карты были построены с использованием программы ViDaExpert. Результаты. Таким образом, статистически значимые различия между исследуемыми группами были найдены по всем показателям, кроме тех, которые были сняты на первом этапе (через 7-14 дней от момента начала заболевания и до проведения ботулинотерапии в опытной группе) с помощью всех трёх функциональных шкал. Учитывая, что на первом этапе в опытной группе ботулинотерапия ещё не была начата, отсутствие различий в показателях мышечного тонуса указывает на исходную относительную клиническую однородность обеих групп, что подчеркивает корректность исследования и подтверждает случайный характер распределения пациентов по группам. Заключение. Применение ботулотоксина типа А в коррекции мышечного тонуса является эффективным при применении именно на ранних сроках, что позволяет рекомендовать активное внедрение в современную медицинскую практику данного метода лечения спастичности у пациентов в остром периоде очагового поражения головного мозга.
