EUSO will observe the track of fluorescence UV light induced by the Extensive Air Showers developed in the atmosphere by the incoming radiation. The main instrument consists of a UV telescope with large collecting area and wide field of view, a high-segmented focal detector, and a sophisticated on-board image processing acting as a trigger. EUSO has been approved by the European Space Agency for a Phase A study concerning its accommodation as external payload on the International Space Station, with a goal for flight in 2008.

It consists of two identical co-aligned X-rays imaging telescopes, with a cooled CCD detector on the focal plane, and an optical monitor. A description of the experiment with some informations about the satellite and the ground segment are given.

The fine time resolution (15 mus) and the high statistics of the data provided phase histograms of very good quality, well suited for phase resolved spectroscopy over the entire energy band

The images show that Cas A has different morphologies in the continuum and line bands. This difference points towards a synchrotron origin for part of the X-ray continuum of Cas A. Going to the hardest continuum band we find that the emission is coming predominantly from the Western region, making this the most likely location for the hard Xray tail seen with instruments on CGRO (OSSE), BeppoSAX (PDS) and RXTE (HEXTE).

Both sources were detected in the LECS and MECS images. No evidence of modulation with the pulsars' period was found. The X-ray spectrum of PSR B0656+14 is complex and requires a three component model, while that of PSR B1706-44 can be fitted by a single power law. .
