The study examined the impact of teaching and learning facilities on students' academic performan... more The study examined the impact of teaching and learning facilities on students' academic performances in public secondary schools in Giwa and Zaria Education zones. Two objectives and two research questions guided the study. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for this study and a random sampling technique was used in selecting 628 respondents from a population of 2092. Twenty items in a structured questionnaire with the use of five (5) Likert scale of Strongly Agreed, Agreed, Undecided, Disagreed and Strongly Disagreed was adopted to collect data from participants. The response to the research questions were analyzed using mean scores, percentage and standard deviation. A mean score of 3.0 and above indicate positive response (accepted) while less than 3.0 is a negative response to the research questions (rejected).The findings of the study reveal that despite the fact that some teaching and learning facilities are inadequate, but the one readily available have great impact on the students' academic performances.In view of the findings and conclusions of this study, the researcher recommended that school managers on their part should also try to maintain and manage teaching and learning facilities available in the school.

The study targeted a population of 397 teachers using simple random sampling a sample of 135 secondary school teachers was selected. This study used a questionnaire tagged ‘Questionnaire on Secondary School Teachers’ Time Management in Orlu Education Zone in Imo State, Nigeria to collect data for the study.The Research questions were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The instrument was pilot tested and a reliability index of 0.85 was obtained .Weighted mean of 3.0 was used as the bench mark to determine the acceptability or other wise of the response of the participants. Findings of the study revealed that there is an effective management of time for morning assembly but there is no time for proper supervision of lessons in the schools.
