In the context of agricultural entrepreneurship in Indonesia, this quantitative study explores th... more In the context of agricultural entrepreneurship in Indonesia, this quantitative study explores the intricate relationships that exist between community engagement, knowledge transfer, technology adoption, community food security, and agricultural sustainability. To look into the connections between these crucial factors, the study included 350 agricultural entrepreneurs from various parts of Indonesia in a representative sample. Structural equation modeling using partial least squares (SEM-PLS) was used to gather and analyze data. The findings provided insights into the significance of community engagement, knowledge sharing, and technological advancement in guaranteeing food security. They also confirmed the significant positive direct effects of community participation, knowledge transfer, and technology adoption on community food security. Simalungun. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. This study uses questionnaire data taken directly from Arabica coffee farmers in Dolok Pardamean District, Simalungun Regency. The sample in this study amounted to 33 samples, using purposive sampling technique and taken proportionally. The analytical method used is Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The purpose of this study was to determine what factors influence the demand for Robusta coffee in the Inpres market, Bebesen sub-district, Kab. Central Aceh. The sampling method is done by the method of tracking (Accidental Sampling). Respondents in this study were consumers who happened to be shopping for Robusta coffee at the study site, which were 52 respondents. The data collected are primary data and secondary data, the analytical method used is multiple linear regression test with SPSS 24 tools. The results of this study conclude that the Robusta coffee expenditure variable, income, number of family members, tastes, expenditure on substitute goods purchases simultaneously has a significant effect on robusta coffee demand in the presidential market. Partially, the income variable significantly influences the demand for Robusta coffee in the Inpres market, while the expenditure variable for Robusta coffee purchase, the number of family members, tastes, and expenditure for substitute goods purchase, does not significantly affect the demand for coffee in the Inpres market

Global food security is becoming more and more precarious as population growth picks up speed and climate change puts agricultural sustainability and food security in jeopardy. Technology is an important factor for increasing sustainable food systems in order to accomplish this goal. Smart Farming concept combines sensors, data analytics, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and information and communication technology (ICT). In this research paper, the researchers' method of gathering data is documentation studies. This research aims to review technologies that could be utilized to overcome the global food crisis, one of which is smart farming. The society is expected to contribute to collective efforts to create a world free of starvation and abundant food for all through this understanding of smart farming.
The existence of seed breeder farmers is one of the efforts to increase the availability of rice ... more The existence of seed breeder farmers is one of the efforts to increase the availability of rice seeds which is very limited. Therefore, some rice seed breeder farmers start seed businesses either using their own capital for developing their private businesses or using facilities provided by the government. In Simalungun regency, the seed breeder farmers are divided into two groups i.e. fostered and independent seed breeders. Data was analyzed using a qualitative approach, income analysis, normality test, t test and F test. The normality test values showed that the value of Kolmogorov-Smirnov Z was 0.368>0.05 indicating that the data are normally distributed. The income between the two groups was significantly different based on the F test which F-value>F-table. Based on the t test, the income of the fostered seed breeder was lower than its counterpart. The main problem for Muslim farmers in organic food production tends to be the marketing aspect. ... more The main problem for Muslim farmers in organic food production tends to be the marketing aspect. This requires the government's intervention and related stakeholders in the marketing of organic food. So far, Muslim farmer groups have not been able to be independent, especially in marketing organic agricultural products. This study aims to analyze the role of local government and the involvement of Muslim communities as organic food consumers in North Sumatra Province. This research was conducted using a sample of 270 respondents taken from a local market that sells organic food in North Sumatra. The results showed that the role of the involvement of the Muslim community and local government had a significant effect on the purchase of local organic food. This research also confirms the role of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in forming a Muslim consumer community involved in marketing organic food.

This research is conducted with a purposive sampling method. The research is showing result that the production is using the juice of Juhar is 70.792 kg. With the use of NPK there are 604 kg. But from the data above can be found that the production of the palm oil is higher using the Juhar fertilizer than NPK fertilizer. The cultivation of the palm oil which useing Juhar fertilizer is better than using the NPK fertilizer.

The problems of this research are how consumers act with respect to food consumption and how the ... more The problems of this research are how consumers act with respect to food consumption and how the influence of social, economic, cultural, and environmental factors affects the variation in food consumption based on local resources. The primary data were obtained directly from the study respondents of the people in the East Coast of North Sumatra in the Bubun villages in the district of Tanjung Pura. Their main occupation is as fishermen where they had little or no education, with little income to meet the daily needs of the family. The conclusions of this study i.e., age, education level of housewife, marital status and ethnicity significantly affected the household food consumption. The socio-economic fishermen of Bubun village were below average compare to national average.

This research was conducted in Percut Village, Percut Sei Tuan Subdistrict which is located in a coastal area which has quite good fishery potential and the average villager has a livelihood as a fisherman and most of the housewives of fishing families work as fish processors into salted fish. The sample in this study consisted of 36 respondents. Data analysis was carried out descriptively with added value and feasibility analysis. The results showed that the amount of added value obtained from the processing of salted fish in the research area with raw materials of 67.86 kg of wet fish was obtained as much as 47.14 kg of salted fish every month with a selling price of Rp. 23,000.00/kg and the profit earned is Rp. 421,626.25.
