The present study is intended to find the influence of Quality of Education with special referenc... more The present study is intended to find the influence of Quality of Education with special reference to physically challenged students of District Ganderbal. Population survey was made by the investigator to locate the physically challenged children in education Zone Ganderbal. 247 students (physically challenged) were found in the current population survey and all of them have been included in the sample. Selfconstructed information blank was employed to identify the population of physically challenged students.Quality education questionnaire developed by investigator was administered to collect the required data for the present study. Percentage staticswas employed as a statistical treatment. The results highlighted that the physically challenged students have access to low quality education at elementary level. The educational standardwith which World Health Organization ensures to provide for physically challenged students is lacking at the gross root level. It is the need of the hour that the government should take due interest in this area. The research in this area should be done on priority basis and more evaluative studies should be conducted so that we keep eye on the implementation part of the various policies at national as well as at international level.

National educational policy (2020) points out that one of the main reasons for the less number of... more National educational policy (2020) points out that one of the main reasons for the less number of students goes for vocational education is that vocation education has generally focused on 11 th and 12 th grades and on the dropouts in 8 th grade in the past. Vocational preference directly or indirectly influences entire life of child. The vocation of an individual determines his physical, social, emotional, psychological and economical position and wellbeing in the society. An individual choses a vocation not all of sudden but it involves his whole life right from the birth to old age. Choosing of a vocation is not an easy process; it should take into account all areas of person's personality like his abilities, capacities, capabilities, interest and aptitude. When a person takes all these factors into account, he automatically succeeds and flourishes in his vocation otherwise he lands in failure which results in frustration and mal-adjustment. The present study was conducted to study and compare vocational preference of school going children's. The sample of the study consists of 500 school going children's (250 male and 250 female), studied in class 9 th. Random sampling technique was used for the selection of sample The tool used for the data collection was chatter ji's non language preference record and it includes ten areas of vocational preference starting from fine arts, literary, scientific, medical, agriculture, technical agriculture, craft, outdoor, sports and ends at household.Statistical techniques; mean, s.d and t-test were used for analyzing data. The result of the study found that 3, 8, 30.8, 28.2, 1, 6.4, 19.4, 3.2 percent of school going children's prefers fine arts, literary, scientific, medical, technical agriculture, outdoor, sports and household areas of vocational preference respectively. No one prefers agriculture and craft. And it was found that both male and female school goingchildren's differs significantly on vocational preference.

The study aimed to study the internet usage gap between rural and urban 10 th class students and ... more The study aimed to study the internet usage gap between rural and urban 10 th class students and its influence on their academic achievement. 240 rural-urban 10 th class students were selected randomly in which half of the students came from rural secondary schools and half were taken from urban secondary schools. Information blank was used to identify rural & urban internet user secondary school students. Academic achievement had been measured by the academic marks secured by sample subjects in their previous examination conducted by JKBOSE. Mean, percentage and t-test were employed for statistical analysis. The results confirmed that urban 10 th class internet user students had high academic achievement grades than rural 10 th class internet user students.

Two research objectives and one null hypothesis guided the present study. 120 secondary school teachers have been selected randomly from ten secondary schools of Kulgam and Srinagar districts (J&K). Jamal & Raheem's Teachers' Morale Scale (2013) is a standardized tool adapted to obtain the required data. Percentage and t-test were used for analyzing the data. The findings of the study reported that urban secondary school teachers have comparatively high teachers' morale than rural secondary school teachers.

The study was conducted on secondary school students to find out the relationship between school ... more The study was conducted on secondary school students to find out the relationship between school climate and academic achievement of secondary school students studying in government and private schools. A sample of 240 secondary school students (120 Male and 120 Female) was selected randomly from two districts (Pulwama and Kulgam) of Kashmir (J&K). For data collection, self-standardized School Climate Scale (SCS) was administered to measure the perceived school climate of secondary school students. The yard stick to measure the academic achievement has been taken from students' performance in JKBOSE Examinations. Statistical treatments such as mean, t-test and correlation approach were computed for data analysis. The results of the study highlighted a significant and positive relationship between school climate and academic achievement of secondary school students. Further, the study reflected a significant difference in the perception of school climate with respect to gender and type of school. The results also revealed a significant difference in academic achievement of male-female and government-private secondary school going students.

The present paper studied the various issues and challenges of student's assessment that has been... more The present paper studied the various issues and challenges of student's assessment that has been faced by college teachers and students of Kashmir division during Covid-19 Pandemic. Assessment is the major aspect of the education system. The student assessment is the act of evaluating student's abilities and achievements. It is ongoing process and integral part of the teaching and learning process. The teacher makes judgments about the students learning or to determine student's interest through assessment. It helps the teacher to reflect on each student's level of achievement as well as to customize their teaching plans accordingly. After Covid-19 Pandemic the student assessment has been shifted more to the online assessment. The teachers have faced lot of issues due to lack of access of internet and technology. In every sphere of education there is a great impact of technology on the students learning that has been done after Covid-19. The present study was descriptive-survey based study. Both primary and secondary sources of data were collected. For the secondary sources of data the investigator had reviewed various national and international papers related with the present study. The sample comprised of 400 college students and 400 teachers from various degree colleges of Kashmir Division. Self-developed interview schedule and self-constructed were used for the data collection. The investigator has conducted a group interview of 10 college's students and 10 teachers separately that constituted of 80 interviews. On the bases of these 80 group interviews the researcher developed themes of all interviews and analyzed all these into specific themes. The investigator suggested some recommendations for improving the better assessment of students through remote learning. The study indicated that there are major six

The study is an attempt to compare Gujjar and Non-Gujjar students of Kashmir valley on Scientific... more The study is an attempt to compare Gujjar and Non-Gujjar students of Kashmir valley on Scientific Temper and Academic Achievement. Four objectives were formulated for the present study with three hypotheses. 240 sample subjects (120 Gujjar and 120 Non-Gujjar students were selected randomly for the sample. To measure the Scientific Temper, Scientific Temper Potentiality Scale was used and for Academic Achievement previous Board examination marks of sample subjects were considered. For the analysis, mean, SD and t-test were used. The study shows a significant mean difference between Gujjar and non-Gujjar students on Scientific Temper and on Academic Achievement. The study also found that there is a significant positive correlation between Scientific Temper and Academic Achievement.
