To account for time-invariant and time-variant unobserved heterogeneity, the study adopted matching combined with difference-indifferences methodology (PSM-DiD) estimators. The results indicated that participation in GVCs has positive and significant impact on labour productivity and sales growth, while it has no significant effect on capacity utilisation. Disaggregating GVCs into different components, the analysis revealed some variations in the impact of GVCs on firms' performance. For instance, while exports are found to exert a positive and significant effect on productivity, imports have no important role in influencing firm performance. The paper concluded with some policy recommendations, suggesting that facilitating firms' integration into GVCs is an effective strategy to boost manufacturing sector in Africa.

Retreatment techniques that are efficient and faster should be the main concern to treat endodontic failure. This study aimed to compare the time required by various hand and rotary retreatment systems for the retrieval of guttapercha (GP) from root canals. Materials and Methods A total of 120 extracted single-rooted premolar teeth with straight canals were chosen. Biomechanical preparation was completed using the Step-Back approach keeping the master apical file size 35. Then, teeth were down-packed and back-filled with System B device, along with AH Plus sealer. The teeth were categorized into six groups (n ¼ 20) at random as per techniques applied for retrieval of GP: group I hand instrumentation (Hedstrom files and Gates-Glidden drills); group II ProTaper Universal Retreatment (PTUR) system; group III Mtwo Retreatment (Mtwo R) system; group IV D-RaCe; group V R-Endo; and group VI Mani Gutta Percha Remover (NRT-GPR). A chronometer was used to measure the time required for retrieval of GP. Data were examined by comparative evaluation of one-way analysis of variance and chi-square test. Results Among all the retreatment techniques used, D-RaCe was faster in GP retrieval than other groups. NRT-GPR system also took less time than other groups except for the D-RaCe system. The Mtwo R system was the slowest among all groups. Conclusion D-RaCe retreatment instruments required extensively less time for retrieval of GP than other groups (p < 0.001).

Government agencies and private organizations are continuously working to bring fairness in this process. The e-Tendering process brings efficiency and convenience in the overall practices which come out in the seen recently. With the emergence of blockchain technology, researchers identified beneficial features for ensuring transparency in the tendering process. Combining with smart contracts it paved the way for a secure, immutable and auditable e-Tendering processes yet maintaining strong veracity. In this paper, the drawbacks of the Ethereum-based blockchain e-Tendering process is identified and a framework with the permissioned blockchain was proposed to overcome the drawbacks. The overall tendering scheme is modulated in the framework such a way that confidentiality, integrity, and transparency are ensured in the process. The framework can mitigate most of the present technical and procedural limitations in Ethereum based e-Tendering. It has added new features and may enhance the security also.

The purpose of this study is to examine the incidence, clinical characteristics, and outcome of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 infection who develop rhabdomyolysis. Methodology: This is a single-center retrospective analysis of all hospitalized patients with COVID-19 admitted between March 8, 2020, and January 11, 2021. All patients with creatinine kinase (CK) levels available during the hospital admission were included. Rhabdomyolysis was defined as an elevation in CK level higher than five times the upper limit of normal (i.e., 1125 U/L). We compared clinical characteristics and outcomes of patients who developed rhabdomyolysis with patients who did not develop rhabdomyolysis. Results: The incidence of rhabdomyolysis in hospitalized patients with COVID-19 infection was 9.2%. There was no significant difference noted in comorbidities and clinical characteristics between the two groups. Moreover, there was no significant difference noted in the presence of severe COVID-19 infection (72.7% vs 54.6%, p = 0.1), mortality (27.3% vs 23.9%, p = 0.72), acute kidney injury (59.1% vs 42.7%, p = 0.14), or need for intensive care unit (ICU) care (72.7% vs 51.4%, p = 0.051). However, a higher percentage of patients in the rhabdomyolysis group required physical rehabilitation after discharge (40.9% vs 19.3%, p = 0.02). Conclusion: The overall incidence of rhabdomyolysis in hospitalized patients with COVID-19 infection was high (9.2%). The presence of rhabdomyolysis was not associated with the increased severity of the disease. Patients with rhabdomyolysis more frequently required physical rehabilitation compared to those without rhabdomyolysis.

Although effective, the therapy may have a rare but serious side effect – an increased risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE). Previous studies have not been powerful enough to investigate the risks associated with different types of HRT. The proposed nested case-control study aims to fill this gap. Women diagnosed with VTE between 1998 and 2017 will be matched to 5 controls by age, practice and calendar year. Exposure to each type of HRT will be defined as at least one prescription for that HRT in the year before the index date (date of diagnosis of VTE or equivalent date in matched controls). Conditional logistic regression will be used to assess the risks associated with the different types of oestrogen and progestogen. The effects of duration, length of any gap since last use and method of application will be analysed for the most common types of HRT.

The combination of nursing knowledge and skills during the period before and after cardiac catheterization aims to assure safe and accurate procedure, and improving physical and mental health. Aim of the study: To evaluate the effectiveness of nursing intervention on the physiological status for patients undergoing coronary catheterization through utilization of physiological parameters check list such as (systolic/diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and O2 saturation). Methodology: randomized clinical trial (RCT) was conducted for patients' undergoing coronary catheterization at Al Najaf Center for Cardiac Surgery and Cardiac Catheterization, the study has been carried out during the period 14 \ June \ 2019 to 29 \ January \ 2020. The sample consisted of (100) patients have been randomly divided into two groups of 50 patients each. The experimental group consisted of 50 patients who are exposing to nursing interventions by the researcher. The groups who have not to expose to nursing interventions by the researcher, are considering the control group. The instrument construction and consisted of three parts, (part I): the socio-demographic characteristics and comprised of (8) items, (part II): the clinical characteristics (part III): physiological parameters checklist for patients undergoing coronary catheterization (physiological parameters: a bedside monitor is used to measure (heart rate, respiratory rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and O2 saturation) for each patient. Results: The result of present study demonstrated that the number of abnormal cases less in experimental group than control group related to the heart rate, respiratory rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure in the period of measurements. Conclusions: The study stated that the patients in experimental group who receiving the nursing intervention had decrease in the (heart rate, and blood pressure) compared to the control group Recommendations: standardized nursing procedures should be used to guide the nurses in dealing with patients with coronary catheterization, and the standards bill of for such practices should be created and presented to all ties in which such practices are performed.

Data from the national iBRA-2 and TeaM studies were combined to compare the safety and short-term outcomes of TM and mastectomy with or without IBR. Methods The subgroup of patients in the TeaM study who underwent TM to avoid mastectomy were identified, and data on demographics, complications, oncology and adjuvant treatment were compared with those of patients undergoing mastectomy with or without IBR in the iBRA-2 study. The primary outcome was the percentage of successful breast-conserving procedures in the TM group. Secondary outcomes included postoperative complications and time to adjuvant therapy. Results A total of 2916 patients (TM 376; mastectomy 1532; mastectomy and IBR 1008) were included in the analysis. Patien...
