This variation was carried out in the context of a virtual reality experimental setup. The participants were required to memorize a sequence of target positions projected on the rug and walk to each target figuring in the displayed sequence. the participant’s trajectory was collected and analyzed from a kinematic perspective. An earlier study [5] identified three different categories, but the classification remained ambiguous, implying that they include both kinds of individuals (normal and patients with cognitive spatial impairments). On this basis, we utilized K-Means and HAC to distinguish the navigation behavior of patients from normal individuals, emphasizing the most importa...

A quantitative analysis is then discussed: we present an energy analysis of some model states of decohesion than may have a composite structure. This energetic study, based on the theory of Francfort and Marigo, consists primarily to reject, for a loading level and a given surface energy (in order of magnitude of e with e=1/n and where n denotes the number of fibers contained in the structure), the decohesions leading to highest energies of medium. The obtained results of this study are interesting, interesting insofar as they can be used in high tech industry to ensure that of this or that debonding can not appear in such composite pieces, subjected to loading of their use services.

We show that the solution in displacement (which is given explicitly), of such problem, is independent on the microscopic variable and it is identical to that of a composite whose fibers are perfectly bonded to the matrix. It is not the same for the bending and traction problems where the associated solutions depend both on microscopic and macroscopic variable and which are different to that of a composite whose constituents are perfectly bonded. Consequently, the debonding of fibers in a composite beam but still in contact with the matrix has therefore not importance when and only when it comes to a torsional loading.

We report a series of six cases of heterotopic pregnancies seen in our department over a period of seven years. Two of these occurred after assisted reproductive techniques; while the other cases were spontaneous heterotopic pregnancies. The clinical presentation of these cases was varied with late diagnosis occurring in two cases. Preservation of the intrauterine pregnancy was obtained in four cases. Unfortunately, the other cases were aborted spontaneously on the postoperative period. Only with an early diagnosis and adequate management the intrauterine pregnancies will reach viability, with a great chance of a favorable obstetric outcome.

The study based on Euler-Bernoulli theory and finite element method, applied to a flexible beam divided into a finite number of elements. The equations of motion are obtained by applying the principle of Hamilton. The structure is modeled analytically then numerically and the results of the simulations are presented to visualize the states of their dynamics.

A various registration measurement have been developed for different types of problems. In this paper we present a novel registration approach based on normalized dissimilarity index which is resulting from local dissimilarity map that is a useful means to compare images. We compared its quality to classical registration measurements (Correlation and Mutual information) carried out on both binarized and grey-level images. We obtained good results for the two types of images. We showed afterwards the robustness of the proposed measure against the pepper and salt and Gaussian noise. We applied finally our registration approach on a medical images database on which we confirmed that the accuracy of alignment error estimation is improve compared to classical registration methods. It helps radiologists to follow up patients and examine the effects of therapy. Several approaches were being proposed to come up with medical expectations. This work comes within this context. We present a new approach based on the local dissimilarity volume (LDV) that is a 3D representation of the local dissimilarity map (LDM). This map presents a useful means to compare two images offering a localization of information. We proved the reproducibility of this method (LDV) compared to medical techniques used by radiologists. The result of simulations shows that we can quantifying lesion volume by using LDV method which is an efficient way to calculate and localize volume variation of anomalies. It allowed a time-saver with a compete satisfaction of an expert during the medical treatment.

For this reason, in order to help rehabilitation doctors to adapt the medical context to a particular therapeutic game among the available ones is to provide them an easy-to-use model based on simple, intuitive and ergonomic graphic schemes that make it possible and easier for rehabilitation doctors to create and design therapeutic games that can enhance the intrinsic motivation of their patients. The work we present in this article deals with the general problem of designing specific serious games for doctors rather than standard games to help them set up their games in order to recover enough data for interpretation that allows them to measure their patients' progress, in which our approach consists of production games design that permits rehabilitation doctors to take part in...

Pregnancy is considered a risk factor. We report a case of Valsalva retinopathy and pregnancy; through a review of the literature we describe the pathophysiological mechanism of this condition as well as the therapeutic management modalities.

This study is exploited later in the formulation of the active control laws, while using the optimal control Linear Quadratic Gaussian (LQG), accompanied by the Kalman filter. The mathematical formulation is based on Timoshenko’s assumptions and the finite element method, which is applied to a flexible beam divided into a finite number of elements. By applying the Hamilton principle, the equations of motion are obtained. The vibration frequencies are found by solving the eigenvalue problem. The structure is analytically then numerically modeled and the results of the simulations are presented in order to visualize the states of their dynamics without and with active control.
