Hence, the paper is investigating the feasibility of Bay' alwafa as another possible instrument for liquidity management by attempting to analyse shariah issues regarding the usage of Bay' al-wafa as liquidity instrument in Islamic Financial Institutions (IFIs) and comparing it with current instruments that are in place now. The finding of the paper is of the view that Bay' al-wafa would not be a better product for liquidity as it may be used for speculation purpose to again benefit out of loan given, provided the controversy of the permissibility of the contract. The structure of Bay' al-wafa that the paper propose would not be enough since due to its resemblance with prohibited structures like that of 'Inah.
