Continues development of new product innovative is an important driver for manufacture to sustain... more Continues development of new product innovative is an important driver for manufacture to sustain in market place. Success or failures of new product in market place depend very much on how organization implementing pre-development process. However large-scale organizations have received full attention from many researchers with respect to efficient pre-development implementation and practices compared to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). SMEs having different characteristic, strength and weaknesses compared than large organization. In view of that SMEs can't simplified followed and adapted large scale organization practice in development of new product. Specific studies about pre-development process which are concentrating in SMEs are required. Therefore, this study was performed with the main objective to identify critical success factors (CSF) that support successful pre-development process implementation in Malaysian SMEs. To achieve the objective, a qualitative method through interview was conducted with three successful Malaysian food and beverages manufacturing SMEs. The results of the study indicated five critical factors for successful pre-development process implementation in SMEs. There are: clear product strategy, commitment of top management, knowledgeable and skillful project team leader, involvement project team members and involvement of external organization.

GN... more Green New Product Development (GNPD) is very important due to environmental issues increasing. GNPD is defined as creating, designing and develop ecological product which could help in protecting the environment. Small and medium enterprise (SME) firms is one of the contributor to the environmental issues but they could not afford to implement GNPD because there are several obstacles which prevent the successful of GNPD implementation. The objective of this paper are to identify the critical success factors and to determine the obstacles of GNPD implementation among SMEs. The method used in this study is conceptual review of previous literature in green and NPD area of research. The result finding of this paper consist of 9 critical success factors and 12 obstacles. All the critical success factors and obstacles will be grouped. The finding of this study could be a source and fundamental guideline for future study in developing framework for GNPD implementation especially for manufacturing SMEs in Malaysia. Besides that, the result of this study could help organization especially SMEs's owner and manager in assessing their initiative to implement GNPD in organization.

Uncertain business environment particularly during COVID 19 outbreak forced many enterprises incl... more Uncertain business environment particularly during COVID 19 outbreak forced many enterprises including Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) need to change the business model. This rampant situation creates ‘rubbing salt into the wound’ for many enterprises in order to survival and sustain in the market. Enterprises should alter the business strategy from the traditional way of running the business to the new phenomenon of business strategy i.e. crowdsourcing practices. In view of the above, the aim of this study is to investigate how the SMEs could minimise the operating costs in order to boost business performance mainly COVID 19 pandemic. Specifically, the objectives of this study are to examine the impacts of crowdsourcing practices, crowdsourcing cost reduction towards business performance for SMEs in Malaysia. The findings revealed that, the crowdsourcing practices and crowdsourcing cost reduction positively significantly to the SMEs in Malaysia in order to enhance the business performance. This study also highlights practical and theoretical contributions, significant of study; limitations and future study as well as conclude the entire study.

Pre-development process is an important driver for organizations to improve their performance and... more Pre-development process is an important driver for organizations to improve their performance and sustain competitiveness. Large-scale organizations have received full attention from many researchers with respect to efficient pre-development implementation and practices. However, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) did not received adequate attention from the research community for their pre-development practices. This study was performed with the main objective to identify different practicing between Malaysian food and beverage manufacturing SME and large organization in implementation of pre-development process. To do this a survey questionnaire was developed and pilot tested to ensure its validity and reliability. Later, the survey questionnaire was sent to 687 Malaysian food and beverage manufacturing SMEs to identify their practicing on pre-development process implementation. Descriptive analysis was carried out to determine respondent profile and rank of five critical success factors (CSFs) based on its contribution. Tests to investigate any differences between SMEs and large organization in pre-development implementation practices were conducted using MANOVA and ANOVA analysis. The results of the study indicated that there is significant difference between SMEs and large organization in practicing pre-development process implementation. Both of the companies agreed that idea generation phase, commitment top management and project team members are important factor during pre-development process implementation. However they have different perspectives on the level of importance for factors: concept development phase, project evaluation phase, clear product strategy, external organization involvement and training during the implementation process. The results presented a clarified view of pre-development implementation practice based on the Malaysian food and beverage manufacturing SME perspective.

SMEs have not received adequate attention from researcher for their pre-development process compared large-scale organizations. The main objective of this research is to identify the practice of pre-development activities among Malaysian manufacturing SMEs. This study presents the results of a quantitative analysis on a sample of 156 SMEs in the food and beverage industry. Our study confirms earlier finding about the develop quality product becomes an important goal for SMEs. Listening to customer become important sources for SMEs to generate new ideas. Creative technique is frequent use as formal assessment technique during the idea assessment. Lastly, SMEs to be intensively involved in business analysis on project evaluation process. The results present a clarified view of pre-development activities that may serve as a guide for the successful development and market launch of new product among SMEs.

However, Malaysian SMEs is facing with huge obstacles in implementing various product innovation activities particularly the pre-development processes due to scarce financial resources, manpower, knowledge, and expertise. In fact, the previous research result shows that more focus were given to the discussing about critical success factor for pre-development process implementation in large organizations compared with SMEs. In reality, SMEs having different characteristics compared with large organizations. Primarily, this study is performed, to identify the critical factors which are able to increase the successful implementation of predevelopment in SMEs. In achieving the research objective, Delphi techniques have been used for confirmation to identify critical factors based on previous literatures, whether those factors are suitable with the characteristics and surrounding nature of SMEs. The survey form were sent to 35 respondents whose expertise are in the field of pre-development process. However, the researcher managed to interview 20 expert panels. The result of the research showed that ttop management factor, team leaders and members of the team were the main contributors leading the successfulness of the pre-development process in the SMEs organization worthwhile training program factor's effect is low.

The main objective of this study are to measure the quality of service delivery by Department MG using paradigma SERVQUAL and to measure customer satisfaction against the services offered using the Kano Model. Based on paradigma of SREVQUAL, the findings show 20 items out of 21 items that are measured situated in very strong position. Pada masa yang sama, jabatanjabatan tersebut perlu memastikan penyampaian perkhidmatan kepada pelanggan sentiasa relevan dari masa ke semasa selari dengan dasar kerajaan Malaysia, perubahan teknologi, perkembangan ekonomi dan citarasa pelanggan yang dinamik. Objektif utama kajian ini adalah untuk mengukur tahap kualiti penyampaian perkhidmatan Jabatan MG menggunakan Paradigma SERVQUAL dan mengukur tahap kepuasan pelanggan terhadap perkhidmatan ditawarkan melalui Model Kano. Hasil dapatan berdasarkan Paradigma SERVQUAL menunjukkan, 20 item daripada 21 item yang diukur berada pada kedudukan amat kuat. Dapatan berdasarkan Model Kano pula menunjukkan tahap kepuasan pelanggan berada pada peratus 79-75%. Ini menunjukkan Jabatan MG telah berjaya memenuhi keperluan dan kehendak pelanggannya. Namun untuk terus bersaing dalam pasaran perkhidmatan, Jabatan MG perlu menambah baik item-item yang berada pada kedudukan bawah 75%. Hasil dapatan diperolehi dapat membantu Jabatan MG dalam meningkatkan prestasi penawaran perkhidmatan kepada para pelanggannya. Ia selari dengan dasar kerajaan iaitu pencapaian diutamakan, rakyat didahulukan. Malah hasil dapat digunakan sebagai panduan dalam pembangunan polisi dan strategi jabatanjabatan yang berada di bawah sektor kerajaan.

This study analyzes in deep the effects of two major dimensions in organizational justice such as... more This study analyzes in deep the effects of two major dimensions in organizational justice such as procedural and distributive justice on affective commitment through three conflict management styles such as integrating, compromising, and avoiding styles. These relationships are analyzed in advance on the extent of academic staff in Malaysian Public Universities. Partial Least Squares of Structural equation modelling (SEM) and Statistical Package Social Science (SPSS) are utilized to determine the effect of the two variables and the mediating effect of the conflict management styles. The results exhibit that procedural and distributive justice is significantly related with integrating, and compromising styles while not significantly related to avoiding style. It also revealed that integrating and compromising styles were significant with affective commitment while avoiding style does not relate with affective commitment. In conclusion, the results also showed only integrating and compromising styles mediate the relationship between procedural and distributive justice and affective commitment.

The sample consists of 100 companies belonging to NACE division 29. The data come from fi nancial statements of selected companies and cover a period from 2006 to 2010. For the purpose of the paper quantitative research is used. The selection of appropriate dependent and independent is realized on the basis of secondary research on studies of capital structure. The analysis of variance, correlation and regression analyses have been performed to see the nature of relationship between variables. Size, tangibility, profi tability and liquidity appear to be relevant determinants of capital structure. Growth is not a statistically signifi cant determinant of leverage. It has been observed that the maturity of debt has to be considered, since the investigation of total debt only does not provide precious results. At the same time, the departments should ensure that service delivery to the customer is always relevant from time to time in line with Malaysia government policies, changes in technology, economic development and the dynamics of consumer preferences. The main objective of this study are to measure the quality of service delivery by Department MG using paradigma SERVQUAL and to measure customer satisfaction against the services offered using the Kano Model. Based on paradigma of SREVQUAL, the findings show 20 items out of 21 items that are measured situated in very strong position. Based on Kano model, the findings also shows the level of customer satisfaction are at 79-75% per cent. This indicates MG Department has successfully met the needs and requirements of its customers. Pada masa yang sama, jabatanjabatan tersebut perlu memastikan penyampaian perkhidmatan kepada pelanggan sentiasa relevan dari masa ke semasa selari dengan dasar kerajaan Malaysia, perubahan teknologi, perkembangan ekonomi dan citarasa pelanggan yang dinamik. Objektif utama kajian ini adalah untuk mengukur tahap kualiti penyampaian perkhidmatan Jabatan MG menggunakan Paradigma SERVQUAL dan mengukur tahap kepuasan pelanggan terhadap perkhidmatan ditawarkan melalui Model Kano. Hasil dapatan berdasarkan Paradigma SERVQUAL menunjukkan, 20 item daripada 21 item yang diukur berada pada kedudukan amat kuat. Dapatan berdasarkan Model Kano pula menunjukkan tahap kepuasan pelanggan berada pada peratus 79-75%. Ini menunjukkan Jabatan MG telah berjaya memenuhi keperluan dan kehendak pelanggannya. Namun untuk terus bersaing dalam pasaran perkhidmatan, Jabatan MG perlu menambah baik item-item yang berada pada kedudukan bawah 75%. Hasil dapatan diperolehi dapat membantu Jabatan MG dalam meningkatkan prestasi penawaran perkhidmatan kepada para pelanggannya. Ia selari dengan dasar kerajaan iaitu pencapaian diutamakan, rakyat didahulukan. Malah hasil dapat digunakan sebagai panduan dalam pembangunan polisi dan strategi jabatanjabatan yang berada di bawah sektor kerajaan.

This study analyzes in deep the effects of two major dimensions in organizational justice such as... more This study analyzes in deep the effects of two major dimensions in organizational justice such as procedural and distributive justice on affective commitment through three conflict management styles such as integrating, compromising, and avoiding styles. These relationships are analyzed in advance on the extent of academic staff in Malaysian Public Universities. Partial Least Squares of Structural equation modelling (SEM) and Statistical Package Social Science (SPSS) are utilized to determine the effect of the two variables and the mediating effect of the conflict management styles. The results exhibit that procedural and distributive justice is significantly related with integrating, and compromising styles while not significantly related to avoiding style. It also revealed that integrating and compromising styles were significant with affective commitment while avoiding style does not relate with affective commitment. In conclusion, the results also showed only integrating and compromising styles mediate the relationship between procedural and distributive justice and affective commitment.

The objective of the paper is to identify the determinants infl uencing the capital structure of ... more The objective of the paper is to identify the determinants infl uencing the capital structure of large and medium-sized enterprises of the automotive industry in the Czech Republic. The sample consists of 100 companies belonging to NACE division 29. The data come from fi nancial statements of selected companies and cover a period from 2006 to 2010. For the purpose of the paper quantitative research is used. The selection of appropriate dependent and independent is realized on the basis of secondary research on studies of capital structure. The analysis of variance, correlation and regression analyses have been performed to see the nature of relationship between variables. Size, tangibility, profi tability and liquidity appear to be relevant determinants of capital structure. Growth is not a statistically signifi cant determinant of leverage. It has been observed that the maturity of debt has to be considered, since the investigation of total debt only does not provide precious results.
