Tribal people are important owing to their residing in harmony with forests and involvement in conservation which is recognized worldwide. The present work is an attempt to provide information on the involvement of tribals of Jammu and Kashmir that constitutes 11.91% of its population to promote forest management and conservation, especially post implementation of Forest Rights Act, 2006. The study indicates that tribal involvement with their indigenous knowledge has the substantial potential to protect and conserve forests in the study area. An in-depth analysis was done on the involvement of tribal people of Jammu and Kashmir in forest conservation. The observations indicate that the grant of rights to tribals of J&K after implementation of Forest Rights Act, 2006 would secure their claim over forest products, reduce friction and help link them firmly with the forests in the long run. The acceptance of tribals as an integral part of forests, having rights over its products and their involvement would help in promoting forest conservation initiatives effectively in the study area.

Kashmir valley situated in the Himalayas is highly vulnerable to the impacts of Climate change. Therefore, understanding the behaviors which can reduce the carbon footprint and proper engagement in such behaviours would be the best strategy to regulate the climate change. Developing adaptation methods by engaging in environmentally friendly behaviours is the best deal for to survive and make the system sustainable. Local to regional levels of grassroots participation should be involved in the development and implementation of these adaptation programmes. Locals must be aware of low carbon behaviours and the obstacles in their adoption in order to participate in the process of development and implementation of the programmes in an informed manner. Hence, we explored the engagement in low carbon behaviour and barriers in adoption of low carbon behaviours among students. We observed the differences in the responses of the students with respect to their gender, residence, subject stream, semester, parental education, father's occupation and family income. Convenient sampling was used and data was collected through online google form questionnaire from undergraduate students of twenty Govt. Degree Colleges spread over ten districts of Kashmir Valley and received 1129 responses. It was found that students were intending to be engaged in low carbon behaviours, but hurdles in engagement like lack of availability and the opportunities and lack of knowledge and skills on how to practice low-carbon lifestyle were also found to be high. It was also found that there exists significant difference in "engagement of Low Carbon Behaviours (LCBs)" among students with respect to gender and subject stream and no significant difference was observed among students with respect to barriers in adoption of Low Carbon Behaviours.

peculiar floral diversity. The present study was carried to investigate the floristic diversity of the Shankaracharya hill ecosystem situated
in south-east of Srinagar city. At present stage of investigation, 125 species of plants distributed under 93 Genera and 44 families were
found in the area. The area is dominated by Herbs having (69 sp.) followed by trees (31 sp.), shrubs (23 sp.) and climbers (2 sp.). The
study revealed that Dicots form the major component followed by the Monocots and Gymnosperms. Among the Dicots, Rosaceae is the
largest family with 21 species and among Monocots; Poaceae is the largest family with 10 species

Concurrently, intensive research efforts are being carried out to understand the etiology of these age-dependent disorders. Extracellular vesicles (EVs)—biological nanoparticles released by cells—are gaining tremendous attention in understanding their role in pathogenesis and progression of NDs. EVs have been found to transmit pathogenic proteins of NDs between neurons. Moreover, the ability of EVs to exquisitely surmount natural biological barriers, including blood-brain barrier and in vivo safety has generated interest in exploring them as potential biomarkers and function as natural delivery vehicles of drugs to the central nervous system. However, limited knowledge of EV biogenesis, their heterogeneity and lack of adequate isolation and analysis tools have hampered their therapeutic potential. In this review, we cover...
