The cost is shared between the government, parents, students, and other organizations. The policy of cost-sharing is also employed in Pakistan as it is a developing country and the majority of the students are unable to acquire higher education. Therefore, the government is required to give funds sufficiently to the needy and deserving because ultimately the country will be benefited from it. This research uses qualitative methods to unpack the problems that are faced by students. Some important flaws are highlighted, which can be taken into consideration to improve the systems of attaining higher education.

This particular study has been conducted in the context of Pakistan which serves to be the home country, and the empirical findings are made in relation to China, Japan, UK and USA. The study uses the panel data concerning the exchange rate, interest rate and CPI difference for all the five countries ranging from the first quarter of 1991(Q1) to the last quarter of 2011(Q4). The results of the study validate the conjecture of the literature that in the long-run, inflation affects the exchange rate in a positive way, while interest rate prevailing in a country has a negative impact on the exchange rate. The results of the panel data regression on the cumulative data of all the countries, with fixed-effect and random-effect shows that the relationship prevails but both the CPI difference and interest rate affects the exchange rate t...

This study is of qualitative nature, and is conducted in the context of Pakistan. Data for the study was gathered using twenty semi-structured interviews from two groups each of ten members. The first group (G1) comprised of University level students, while the other group comprised of members from general public. Convenient sampling as a non-probability sampling was used. This study is cross-sectional because the interviews were conducted at one point of time. For analysis purpose, NVivo 10 was used with the help of which the transcribed interviews were assessed. The results of the study show that the marketers should not bombard the subscribers with SMS ads without their consent and permission. Other than consent, the frequency and the timing at which these advertising messages are sent to the users should not be random, and be controlled. The con...

The data was gathered from different sectors in Pakistan. The data was collected from yahoo finance, ADB, KSE and State Bank of Pakistan. The period covered by this study is twenty six years starting from 1986-2011. The regression analysis test was used to examine/determine the results that were found/experienced during the research work. In regression analysis ANOVA, correlation of coefficients, and regression model test was used to analyze the results that were applied on the information gathered through secondary sources. The results show that there is a positive association of budget deficit and money growth on inflation. In general the key outcomes indicate that financing and government expenditures could have different effects. Therefore, it is very difficult to differentiate between current and capital expenditures. Budget defici...

The analysis also revealed that KM processes significantly impact project success while EL impact PS indirectly through KM processes.Originality/valueThe relevancy of the research stems from the scarcity of research on EL, while studies on the role of leadership as a predictor of KM are significantly limited. Additionally, there is a scarcity of research on the impact of KM on project success. This is one of the earliest studies that investigate the inter...

Scale development was undertaken through focus group discussions with four different stakeholders of HE that included students, parents, teachers, and employers. The scale was validated through data collection from seven different HE institutions. Based upon exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis the study found six determinants of service quality in HE. They were named as teacher quality, administrative services, knowledge services, activities, continuous improvement, and leadership quality. The final scale consisted of 37 items. The study covers three significant limitations that emerged from existing studies. Firstly, existing studies focused only on the students for generation of questionnaire items. The study takes into consideration other stakeholders to develop a measure for HE service quality provided to students. Secondly, existing studies neglect the fact that how level of service in education has changed over time, and thirdly, the current study found leadership as a significant dimension of quality in HE. Limitations and future research directions are discussed.

A qualitative study was conducted using "Beer distribution game" simulation to create an environment of novel and uncertain conditions. Additionally, the study followed the group interviewing technique to explore the underlying patterns in the creative decision-making phenomenon taken by the leaders in complex situations. The findings of the study revealed three categories of factors that contribute to the creative decision making of the leaders. These categories consist of factors related to individuals personal characteristics, team-level factors, and process related factors. The study revealed during the group discussion that creative decision making occurs through a unique interplay of people, process and technology in the Pakistani context. Keywords: Creative decision making, beer game, simulation, group interview technique
