This paper proposes a model that is realistic and local, meaning that it does not involve any nonlocal action or hidden variables. The paper presents a local realistic model that refutes Bell's theorem and explains entanglement swapping and teleportation in terms of initial conditions and conservation of spin angular momentum. The paper claims that the model is consistent with quantum mechanics and reproduces the quantum mechanical predictions for expectation

It has been found that the oxidation reaction of HCN during the combustion of the coke represents an avenue of conversion of coke nitrogen to N_2O. At the same time the multi-phase reaction of NO and coke surface is also a kind of generation path of N_2O. The separation-out of HCN is a result of the further devolatilization during the combustion of coke. On completion of the coke devolatilization process N_2O has originated from the gas-solid multi-phase reaction of NO and coke surface.

Research paper thumbnail of Entanglement and coherence in a hybrid Laguerre-Gaussian rotating cavity optomechanical system with two-level atoms

Journal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, 2021

We theoretically investigate quantum entanglement and coherence in a hybrid Laguerre-Gaussian rot... more We theoretically investigate quantum entanglement and coherence in a hybrid Laguerre-Gaussian rotating cavity optomechanical system with two-level atoms, where cavity and mechanical modes are coupled through the exchange of orbital angular momentum. Our study shows that the injection of atoms with a suitable choice of the physical parameters can significantly improve the degree of optomechanical entanglement in all aspects. In the study of quantum coherence research, we show more comprehensively the negative and positive effects of atoms on the coherence. The result obtained is that only when the atom is significantly offresonant to driving field, the coupling strength in between the atoms and light field increases and the quantum coherence can be enhanced, otherwise it will reduce quantum coherence. In addition, the atomic decay suppresses quantum coherence phenomenon.

Whether it is a predictor of adverse outcomes in preeclampsia is unclear. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between BNP and adverse outcomes of preeclampsia, and to establish the prediction models and nomograms based on BNP. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted involving 284 women with preeclampsia admitted to a tertiary hospital from January 2017 to July 2019. Logistic regression and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were used to analyze the relationship between BNP and adverse outcomes. Multivariate logistic regression was used to establish the models for predicting adverse outcomes. Then the nomogram and ROC curve of the models were generated. Results: In preeclampsia, BNP is a risk factor for adverse outcomes, and as the level of BNP increases, the incidence of adverse outcomes increases. Preeclampsia with BNP >118 pg/mL was associated with a significantly increased risk of adverse outcomes. The results showed that BNP has a predictive value for adverse maternal outcomes, and the area under the ROC curve (AUC) was 0.739 [P<0.001, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.684-0.789]. Then, the prediction models for adverse maternal and perinatal outcomes based on BNP combined with other multi-factors were established. The discriminative ability of the 2 models was found to be good, the AUC was 0.844 (95% CI: 0.796-0.884) and 0.792 (95% CI: 0.740-0.838), respectively. Therefore, BNP was shown to significantly improve the discriminative ability of the prediction models. Conclusions: The BNP is an important risk factor for evaluating the adverse outcomes of preeclampsia.

Research paper thumbnail of Enhancing optomechanical force sensing via precooling and quantum noise cancellation

We theoretically investigate optomechanical force sensing via precooling and quantum noise cancel... more We theoretically investigate optomechanical force sensing via precooling and quantum noise cancellation in two coupled cavity optomechanical systems. We show that force sensing based on the reduction of noise can be used to dramatically enhance the force sensing and that the precooling process can effectively improve the quantum noise cancellation. Specifically, we examine the effect of optomechanical cooling and noise reduction on the spectral density of the noise of the force measurement; these processes can significantly enhance the performance of optomechanical force sensing, and setting up the system in the resolved sideband regime can lead to an optimization of the cooling processes in a hybrid system. Such a scheme serves as a promising platform for quantum back-action-evading measurements of the motion and a framework for an optomechanical force sensor.

According to the rotational speeds, some intermetallic compounds were detected in the joint interface. Also, the intermetallic thickness increment was achieved with an increase in the rotational speed. As a solder joint, the shear test showed an outstanding result in the sample soldered at 1600 rpm and the fracture occurred in the base metal, which means the joint strength is higher than that of galvanized steel. However, at the other rotational speed fracture occurred along the interface at lower loads.

Using the symmetric and asymmetric criteria, the possibilities of bipartite entanglement, one-way steering, two-way steering, and collective tripartite steering have been studied between different output modes. In addition, the influence of the squeezing parameter on the amount of tripartite steering measurement is also examined. The results show that a higher electro-mechanical coupling rate leads to stronger tripartite steering. The microwave cavity mode can enhance the output quantum steering and remotely steers the optical cavity. Thus, the slower mode can steer the faster mode. Such hybrid systems can serve as frequency converters between microwave and optical domains and can have a profound impact on building quantum networks of microwave-operated superconducting quantum computers.

The effects of the number of FSP passes, tool design, rotational and travel speeds were investigated. Microstructural investigations showed a significant grain refinement owing to dynamic recrystallization. According to scanning electron microscopy examinations and X-ray diffraction results, Al 12 Mg 17 intermetallics were formed during FSP due to chemical reaction at the Al-Mg interface. As a result of severe plastic deformation, the intermetallic particles formed at nanometre size. X-ray diffraction showed that the crystalline size of intermetallic particles reached ≤50 nm, due to high material flow during FSP. The intermetallic formation and grain refining led to an increase in the hardness values (1.5 to 3 times) that of the as-cast pure Mg ingot.

Micro-macro entanglement of light demonstrated experimentally and considered theoretically in one system with different macroscopic components. Using homodyne detection scheme, the entanglement between these two retrieved states has been investigated.

Research paper thumbnail of Effect of Ca substitution on crystal structure and superconducting properties of ferromagnetic superconductor RuSr2−xCaxGd1.4Ce0.6Cu2

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2012

We have investigated the effect of Ca substitution for Sr site on structural, magnetic and superc... more We have investigated the effect of Ca substitution for Sr site on structural, magnetic and superconducting properties of RuSr 2Àx Ca x Gd 1:4 Ce 0:6 Cu 2 O 10Àd system. In this system, the magnetic coupling of RuO 2 and CuO 2 plays an important role in magnetic and superconducting states. X-ray diffraction analysis shows that all samples are single phase and the lattice parameters decrease continuously by increasing Ca content. The onset superconducting transition temperature is found to decrease with Ca substitution. As Ca content increases, rotation of the RuO 6 octahedron increases and Ru-O(1)-Ru angle decreases. These variations strengthen the magnetic moments in the RuO 2 planes. The enhancement of weak ferromagnetic component and hole trapping by Ru magnetic moments in RuO 2 planes reduces the electrical conduction, and destroys the superconducting state in the system. Analysis of the resistivity data (r) based on the hoping conduction mechanism, indicates a variation of the hoping exponent (p) across the magnetic transition at T m. The hoping exponent p is not affected sharply by Ca concentration.
