To this end, we empirically address this point using an econometric model over the period 1996-2015. From the model prediction, we find the existence of a negative causal effect of the Shadow economy on economic growth. Our results state that the simultaneous effect of the Shadow economy and the rule of law variables and regulatory quality are negative. The size of the informal sector depends positively on tax law indicators and government policies and regulations, and an increase in the size of the informal sector is detrimental to growth.

The period of the study runs from July 1997 until July 2017 with a monthly data. The objectives of the present paper are the following to investigate the order of the mean equation, the order (p,q) of the conditional variance and the order (r,s) of the Diag-BEKK model. Data from the Indian and Indonesian stock market returns series respectively shows the existence of appropriate ARMA(2,2)-EGARCH(2,2) and ARMA(2,2)-IGARCH(2,2) models. The appropriates models of Diag-BEKK(p,q) for China, India and Indonesia are Diag-BEKK(1,2), Diag-BEKK(0,2) and Diag-BEKK(0,2) respectively. In the three Asian Countries, the three variables are correlated. Also, equations show a statistically significant covariation in oil import price, which depends more on its lags than on past errors. Consequently, oil demand are influenced by past information which is common to the crude oil market and the stock market and to its volatilities. They suggest that the comovements of the three series display an extremely volatile trend for the study period.

Still more intriguing is the question of determining what are the most effective methods of technology transfer. In that light, the econometric study presented here has drawn on a panel database of French firms covering the period from 2008 to 2010. Horizontal and vertical FDI spillovers are examined in upstream markets while considering their impact on the productivity of local firms. Our results show that vertical technological spillovers occur across all industry sectors whereas evidence of horizontal spillovers is revealed solely in medium- and high-tech industries. Hence, it can be said that these spillovers are inversely proportional to the technological effort exerted by domestic firms in terms of R&D expenditures. Similarly, domestic firms with an internat...

We use 37 Islamic banks in fifteen countries between 2005 and 2014. We compare efficiency between Islamic banks. In addition, we examine internal (bank-specific) and external variables that can explain sources of inefficiency and those that allow us to reduce profit efficiency scores on a specific number of variables (GDP per capita, average annual inflation rate, population density, size, capital adequacy ratio, financial profitability ratio, credit risk, operational costs). Thus, only credit risk is not a determinant of the efficiency-profit of Islamic banks.

In order to estimate the RER misalignment, we use the methodology of Edwards (1994) which defines the equilibrium RER as a pathway of fundamental variables to ensure internal and external macroeconomic balance. The relation between equilibrium RER and its determiners is obtained by applyingan error-correction model. Results show that the volatility of the exchange rate causes a decline in exports and imports. The impact of the misalignment is significant only on imports.

In reality, an empirical study was performed over a six-year period from 2009 to 2014, in which the CSR shows that Islamic banks are engaged in a great variety of social activities, both as private or public banks. In fact, empirical research has also found that there is a negative relationship between the corporate social responsibility of Islamic banks and the financial results of the ROA an ROE measures.
