Increasing the local economy based on fisheries sector has a high potential to be developed. In small fisheries industry, the electrical energy is necessary needed, so that the marine power plant technology is relevant to be employed in this island. This paper describe the concept design of current power technology which is suitable to be implemented in the island consider to the enviromental sea condition. Potential current energy captured is identified based on the measurement of current speed for the short period of time at the coastal area of island. Futhermore, the turbine design of current power technology is introduced as well as the design of floating platform.

Suhu permukaan laut (SPL) merupakan salah satu faktor penentu kualitas suatu perairan. Suhu mempe... more Suhu permukaan laut (SPL) merupakan salah satu faktor penentu kualitas suatu perairan. Suhu mempengaruhi aktivitas metabolisme dan perkembangbiakan organisme di lautan. Pemantauan gejala perubahan suhu secara berkala diperlukan dalam melakukan analisa pola sebaran SPL. Analisa tersebut menggunakan citra satelit AQUA MODIS. Pengamatan suhu dapat digambarkan dengan baik oleh kanal 20, 31 dan 32 citra AQUA MODIS. Algoritma yang digunakan adalah algoritma Brown dan Minnet, 1999 (ATBD_25) untuk mendapatkan nilai SPL. Dari hasil pengolahan data dan analisa didapatkan bahwa SPL rata – rata tahun 2010 sebesar 22,93⁰C. Uji validasi dilakukan yang dilakukan bernilai 70,9%, yang menunjukkan SPL pengolahan citra mempresentasikan kondisi sesungguhnya. Data hasil analisis dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan referensi penelitian selanjutnya.

Mapping regarding corn land needs to be performed because corn is one of the commodities that are highly required both for food and as a primary material for industry. Cornland mapping and identification is performed by monitoring its growth phase. By considering the area and spatial distribution of agricultural land, remote sensing becomes an efficient and accurate monitoring solution. In the tropical region, optical remote sensing is often obstructed by clouds; thus, a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sensor that has the ability to penetrate clouds and can operate in rainy weather conditions is required. For this reason, time-series SAR Sentinel-1A radar image data recorded over Gerung District, West Lombok, in April 2018 to April 2019 were used for corn farms monitoring. Suhu permukaan laut merupakan salah satu parameter oseanografi yang dapat diperoleh melalui pengu... more Suhu permukaan laut merupakan salah satu parameter oseanografi yang dapat diperoleh melalui pengukuran langsung atau dengan ekstraksi data satelit penginderaan jauh. Satelit Aqua MODIS dengan gelombang inframerah termalnya yang mampu mengamati lapisan permukaan atas dapat digunakan untuk mengamati kondisi suhu pemukaan laut. Selain itu, ada pula Argo Float (the Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography-Float) yang mengkombinasikan metode pengukuran in situ dan sistem satelit untuk mengirim data profil suhu dan salinitas hingga kedalaman 2000 meter secara near real-time. Citra Aqua MODIS level 2 diolah menggunakan software SeaDAS 5.1 untuk mendapatkan suhu permukaan laut. Data Argo Float diolah menggunakan software Ocean Data View 3.3.2 untuk mendapatkan profil suhu dan suhu lapisan teratas digunakan sebagai suhu permukaan laut Argo Float. Hasil penelitian suhu permukaan laut dari citra Aqua MODIS pada 41 lokasi sampel menunjukkan hasil yang relatif lebih rendah dibandingkan suhu permukaan laut yang diperoleh dari Argo Float. Dari 41 sampel, 32 sampel di antaranya memiliki selisih SPL kurang dari 1°C. Selisih nilai suhu permukaan laut citra Aqua MODIS dengan data Argo Float berkisar pada 0°C hingga 2,61°C.

Generally, water samples are analyzed in professional laboratories, and Chla concentrations are measured regularly for the purpose of water quality monitoring. However, limited spatial water sampling and the labor-intensive nature of data collection make global and long-term monitoring difficult. The developments of remote-sensing optical sensors and technologies make the long-term monitoring of Chla concentrations for an entire water body more achievable. Many studies based on machine learning techniques, such as regression and artificial neural network (ANN) methods, have recently been proposed for Chla concentration estimation using optical satellite images. Salah satu jenis citra satelit yang banyak digunakan untuk penelitian suhu permukaan laut adalah citra satelit NOAA-AVHRR, sehingga banyak pula algoritma yang telah dihasilkan terkait suhu permukaan laut. Namun jika ditinjau dari segi resolusi spasial, spectral, dan temporal, citra TERRA MODIS lebih bagus daripada citra NOAA-AVHRR. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan mencoba untuk memodifikasi algoritma-algoritma AVHRR agar algoritma tersebut dapat digunakan dalam penelitian menggunakan citra TERRA MODIS. For preservation purposes, a routine water quality monitoring from satellite is needed. In this study, 11 scenes of Landsat 8 data were processed to produce chlorophyll-a concentration as an indicator of water quality condition on these two lakes. The result showed that water quality in Lake Matano and Towuti were in low cholorphyll-a condition with chlorophyll-a concentration ranged from 0.000– 2.298 mg/m3, 0.000-2.236 mg/m3, respectively. The accuracy of estimated Chlorophyll-a in these two lakes were affected by an inaccurate of atmospheric corrected data. To improve the accuracy, a more accurate atmospheric correction algorithm for Landsat 8 was still required.

The satellite-based regression model provides the data model that identifies water quality for in... more The satellite-based regression model provides the data model that identifies water quality for inland and coastal waters. However, the satellite regression usually depends on the selection of observation, satellite data, and model type. A resampling simulation technique, such as sequential simulation using geographically weighted regression (GWR simulation), can be applied in generating multiple realizations for water quality estimation to reduce the sampling effect and consider spatial heterogeneity. Traditional models often result in considerable underestimation in extreme observations. The GWR simulation provides the best goodness of fit and spatial varying relationship between observed water quality and remote sensing considering parameter outlier and noise removal for parameter stability. This simulation model can increase the sampling diversity from various observations and reduce the neighboring effects of observations using outlier and noise removal. The model that handles spatial uncertainty and heterogeneity is a novel tool for inferring the characteristics of water quality from a series of sample subsets.
