The study aims to analyze the roles that humor and the uncanny play in the story, as well as how they impact tone and mood and how they depict parental perspective and childhood behavior. This study employs qualitative theme analysis to examine how Jackson combines the uncanny and humor to address larger psychological and societal issues. Data analysis entails finding themes and patterns connected to these elements, whereas data collection is closely reading the text and concentrating on any instances of humor and the uncanny. Individual deixis rules at 36.07%, a throbbing heartbeat reverberating with character drenching. The complex interactions between pragmatic and semantic factors during the processing of scalar i... more The complex interactions between pragmatic and semantic factors during the processing of scalar implicatures are examined in the present research. Respondents' evaluations and recommendations, especially during critical trials, show a complex comprehension shaped by semantic meaning and pragmatic suitability. Differential assessments in critical trials show instances where logically valid assertions are judged to be pragmatically inaccurate hinting to possible pragmatic contradictions. Recurring themes emerge from participants' remarks on language adjustments, highlighting the need for statements that satisfy semantic accuracy requirements as well as contextual requirements. The results enhance our understanding of scalar implicatures by highlighting the significance of pragmatic factors in addition to semantic aspects.

CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) is still being touted as a great option for language learning, although it is still in its early phases of development. A bold new fascinating world is certainly indicated by CALL, with its own set of conundrums and repercussions (Kern, 2014). The aims of the current paper were to investigate the effectiveness of CALL in improving speaking skills among language learners, explore the potential of CALL in providing personalized instruction and feedback to language learners, examine the role of technology-mediated communication in enhancing language learners' oral proficiency and develop and evaluate new CALL tools and materials for improving language learners' speaking skills. The key objectives of the current research paper were to assess the impact of CALL on language learners' speaking skills development, including fluency, accuracy, complexity, and comprehensibility, and to investigate the effectiveness of different types of CALL activities.

The goal in this paper is with a particular aspect of that procedure, namely, the aspects in which the syntactically coded meaning of a sentence serves as a clue as to the straightforward, literal signals that the speaker wanted to convey. Pragmatic markers answer to the impulsive, interactive, communal, cordial, and courteous components of speaking and are a crucial part of verbal competency. Since pragmatic markers play a variety of roles in distinct spoken language interpersonal settings, a variety of conceptual frameworks have been taken into account in describing and constraining their multi-functionality. Pragmatic markers are chiefly categorized into four types. Basic markers provide additional conceptual information beyond the hypothetical sense. Commentary pragmatic markers contain procedural definition that signals the communication as a remark and propositional meaning that covers the full message. Parallel markers add a full message to the basic message when signaling. Discourse markers that indicate how the fundamental message relates to the previous conversation and give the addressee guidelines for how to understand the speech to which the discourse marker is connected.

The pursuit for motivated students, for the teachers who teach, has been analogous to the pursuit... more The pursuit for motivated students, for the teachers who teach, has been analogous to the pursuit of beauty and truth by human kind-the target is worth pursuing but we have only a slender chance of attaining it in our life time. The present study examined the motivational strategies of English language teaching of 85 teachers from different locations in Libya (64 males and 21 females, teaching in a variety of institutional contexts, ranging from secondary schools to universities. The questionnaire data adapted from Dörnyei (1994) were verified by means of reliability analysis. Items, which reduced the internal consistency of a scale, were omitted from the scales and were treated as single-item variables. The frequency items were compared using standardized scores. The data were analyzed by means of frequency, percentage and arithmetic mean. The main findings show that the promoting goal setting and goal-orientedness were rather neglected area in the participating teachers' practice. This tells that the teachers' own behavioural modeling could be exploited more thoroughly in motivating learners. Based on this study's findings, some applicable and useful motivational strategies are recommended for enhancement and improvement of the students' motivation.

Among them creative thinking skills play a prominent role in their learning process. Techniques developed specifically to teach creative thinking and examine how they may be applied to the classroom, are precise things to be considered. Awareness with techniques designed to improve creative thinking gives individuals a set of tools to use in their exploratory behaviour. Though there are various methods, the major innovative thinking skills that play the crucial role in learning process are visualization and creative dramatics, Torrance and Safter's incubation model, use of metaphors and analogies, divergent thinking strategies and commercial and competitive programmes. Brainstorming, the acronym scamper which is a useful tool for many creative endeavours and can assist children as well as adults in using the idea-spurring questions that can help them generate diverse ideas, and future solving problem, are the most popular innovative techniques that the teachers employ in moulding the young buds into colourful blossoms who are sole responsible to create the society more modest where we can live pleasantly. Hence, this present paper highlights the most appropriate techniques that the educators employ to motivate the knowledge seekers most effective and inspirational for the upcoming generation.
