The critical load of beams with different cross-sections was found by numerical analysis and these results were confirmed by analytical analyses. Then, the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model was created using the data of different beam sections. An ANN model is presented in order to find the critical load quickly and effectively for beams with different geometries with the obtained data sets. The training and testing data of this model are detailed for I and tubular beams.

Treatment was performed using a diode laser at 692 nm, a light dose of 50 J/cm(2), and 6 mg/m(2) body surface area verteporfin. The initial visual acuity was hand motions; 6 months after therapy, the visual acuity was stable at 20/200. In 9 months of follow-up, there was no recurrence of neovascularization and the pupil area remained clear; no retreatment was needed. Photodynamic therapy provided safe and effective occlusion of neovascular vessels in the posterior capsule area.

Examination showed a toxic looking neonate with poor neonatal reflexes. There was erythema and swelling of 4 x 3 cm at the level of the right cheek. Laboratory investigation pointed to a bacterial infection. With parenteral antibiotics, the lesion resolved completely.

Human factors such as individual differences, cognitive abilities and personality traits can impact on behavior and play a significant role in information security. The purpose of this study is to identify, describe and classify the human factors affecting Information Security and develop a model to reduce the risk of insider misuse and assess the use and performance of the best-suited artificial intelligence techniques in detection of misuse. More specifically, this study provides a comprehensive view of the human related information security risks and threats, classification study of the human related threats in information security, a methodology developed to reduce the risk of human related threats by detecting insider misuse by a behavior-based intrusion detection system using machine learning algorithms, and the comparison of the numerical experiments for analysis of this approach. Phi-objects are an efficient tool in mathematical modelling of 2D and 3D geometric optimization problems, and are widely used in cutting and packing problems and covering problems. The paper shows that the proposed modelling framework can be applied to both median and centre facility location problems, either with barriers or forbidden regions. The resulting models are either mixed-integer linear or non-linear programming formulations, depending on the shape of the restricted region and the considered distance measure. Using the new framework, all instances from the existing literature for this class of problems are solved to optimality. The paper also introduces and optimally solves a realistic multifacility problem instance derived from an archipelago vulnerable to earthquakes. This problem instance is significantly more complex than any other instance described in the literature.

Aziziye-94) under rain-fed and irrigation management. Experiments were carried out in a split plot design with four replications in 2003 and 2004. The abovementioned factors were all applied to plants in single, double and triple combinations. The effect of irrigation was significant, with the heaviest yields being obtained under this treatment. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF) inoculation, alone or in combination with other treatments, was very effective under rain-fed conditions, resulting in large increases in yield, root colonization and phosphorus content of the seed and shoot. On the other hand, rhizobial inoculation increased significantly all traits examined, particularly root nodulation and the nitrogen content of seeds and shoots under irrigated conditions. Whey combined with AMF significantly increased root colonization while its combination with Rhizobium increased the number of nodules. Combinations of two or three treatments were more effective than individual applications. The greatest yield, root colonization and nodulation were obtained from the combination of all three treatments under irrigation.

Also not common, dermatologic manifestations such as ecthyma gangrenosum and indurated erythematous nodular lesions may be the first signs of pseudomonas infection, or may appear later in the course of the disease. Peripheral facial paralysis and mastoiditis are also rare and serious complications of acute otitis media caused by P. aeruginosa. We report a previously healthy 6-month-old boy who had an uncommon presentation and rare complications during the course of P. aeruginosa sepsis.

In this study, SEB-binding peptides were identified by screening a phage displayed peptide library. The binding of peptides to SEB was tested with isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) and of the five selected peptides, three showed affinity to SEB, with one measured to have the highest affinity constant (10(5) M(-1)). ITC revealed that the interaction of peptide ligands with SEB was driven entropically and the binding was dominated by hydrophobic interactions. Circular dichroism (CD) measurements and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, together, give a structural insight into the interaction of peptides with SEB. While SEB binding peptides showed random coil structure before binding, after complex formation they had more ordered structures. The peptide with highest affinity to SEB showed stable conformation during MD simulation. Taken together, our approach about thermodynamic and structural characterization of peptide ligands can be used to develop aptamers, with high affinity and selectivity, for biosensor applications.
