In this study, the effects of eight-week combined training program on the development of anaerobi... more In this study, the effects of eight-week combined training program on the development of anaerobic power and some isometric forces of korfball and basketball players are examined. 29 male (10 basketball players, 9 korfball players and 10 control group) university students, whose age range is 19-24 years, participated in the study. While basketball and korfball players were included in the training program, the participants in the control group continued their routine daily activities. Mean power (watts), peak power (watts), relative power (kg / watts), vertical jump (cm), right hand and left hand paw force (kg) and leg force (kg) were measured before and after the training program. Eight-week training program (3 days a week) consisted of resistance exercises (60-1RM), plyometric exercises (30 cm, 40 cm and 50 cm safes), common and intensive intervals (60-80% HR max), coordination and technical-tactical exercises. Çalışmaya yaş ortalamaları 22.22±1.83 yıl, boy ortalamaları 175.97±5.93 cm ve vücut ağırlığı ortalamaları 76.98±11.42 kg olan 45 erkek sporcu gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. The purpose of the study was to find out the relationship between psychological variables and soc... more The purpose of the study was to find out the relationship between psychological variables and soccer playing ability among the university level male players. 42 soccer players representing different universities who participated in inter university competitions were selected as the subjects of the study. The dependent variable was soccer playing ability and independent variables were the selected psychological variables. Soccer playing ability was determined through a 10 point scale at the time of competitions. Psychological variables included achievement motivation, anxiety, self-concept and aggression. The data was statistically analyzed using Karl Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis using SPSS. It was concluded that soccer playing ability has a positive correlation with achievement motivation and self-concept whereas anxiety and aggression have a negative correlation with soccer playing ability

Arastirmaya, Erzurum Ili Milli Egitim Mudurlugune bagli bes ozel ve uc devlet okulundan toplam 160 ogrenci katildi. Cocuklarin oyunlara iliskin gorusleri “cocuk oyunlari anketi” ile belirlendi. Verilerin analizinde yuzde ve frekans analizleri ile birlikte Ki-Kare (χ2) analizleri kullanildi. Cocuklarin en sevdikleri oyunlar arasinda bilgisayar oyunlari on plandadir. Cocuklar en cok parklarda oyun oynamakta ve okulda en cok oynadiklari oyunlar seksek ve saklambactir. Cocuklarin geleneksel oyunlarimizdan seksek, korebe ve saklambaci bildikleri ve oyun oynamaya engel olan en onemli faktorun ise dersler oldugu goruldu . Bundan baska anne-baba desteginin ozel okulda daha fazla oldugu goruldu. Bilgisayar oyunlari hareketsizlik acisindan cocuklar icin hala en buyuk problemdir.

The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of lower and upper extremity strength on sh... more The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of lower and upper extremity strength on shot styles in tennis. 54 males and 19 females training regularly as experimental group and 24 male and 9 female volunteers as control group participated in the study. 24 training sessions were applied to the experimental group participants. Every week in a unit training, accurate and effective shot, practically forehand and backhand, was applied to the subject suitable for the technique and style by shooting 50 balls from the ball machine. The service was performed for each subject from the service point on the baseline line of the court in 20 units in one unit training. Maximum number of heart 30 to 50% of the beats were allocated for 10 min of general warming, and 70 to 80% of the maximum number of heart beats were allocated for quick strength; moreover, practices towards upper and lower extremity were applied beforehand and finger strength trainings. Voluntary participants in the control group were not subjected to any training program. Paired t-test was used for intra-group comparisons in the analysis. Two-way ANOVA was used to compare pre-test and post-test changes in groups with gender effect. Mean and standard deviation were used as descriptive statistics. Significance was determined as p ≤ 0.05. In conclusions, effective service training should be supported with a good ball thrower and effective material. Therefore, this study is important in terms of evaluating the effect of the tennis ball thrower on the performance of the athletes to correct the shoot techniques and improve their performance.

Twelve sedentary women (32-47 years old) voluntarily participated in this study. The 6-week training program consisted of exercise sessions on 3 days per week. The intensity of the training program that was kept low in the beginning was increased in the subsequent weeks. The training sessions including the warm-up and cool down lasted for 30-60 minutes. The analyses on the body compositions were measured regularly every week with bioelectrical impedance method. In data analysis descriptive statistics and repeated-measures analysis of variance were used. In the end of the 6-week spinning workouts positive changes were observed in many parameters related to body composition. Particularly after the 3rd week the significant changes recorded were noteworthy. G Ge er re eç ç v ve e Y Yö ön nt te em ml le er ri i: : Çalışmaya yaş aralığı 18-24 yıl olan, fiziksel olarak aktif toplam 33 gönüllü kadın üniversite öğrencisi katıldı. Antrenman programı altı hafta süreyle haftada üç gün olarak devam etti. Katılımcıların beden kompozisyonu için boy uzunluğu, beden ağırlığı, beden kitle indeksi (BKİ), deri kıvrım kalınlığı ve antropometrik çevre ölçümleri yapıldı. Beden yağ yüzdesinin belirlenmesinde Zorba formülü kullanıldı. Analizlerde, grup içi karşılaştırmalar için eşleştirilmiş t-testi (paired-samples t-test), gruplar arası karşılaştırmalar için tek yönlü varyans analizi (one-way ANOVA) kullanıldı. Çoklu karşılaştırmalar için Tukey Post Hoc testi kullanıldı. Tanımlayıcı istatistik olarak ortalama ve standart sapma kullanıldı. B Bu ul lg gu ul la ar r: : Altı haftalık antrenman programı sonrası, definasyon ve crossfit grubunun beden kompozisyonu göstergelerinden beden ağırlığı, beden yağ yüzdesi ve BKİ değerlerinin anlamlı olarak azaldığı görüldü (p<0,05). Antropometrik ölçülerde anlamlı değişim definasyon grubu için abdominal, kalça, uyluk ve baldır çevresinde, Crosfit grubu için ise uyluk ve baldır çevresinde görüldü (p<0,05). Kontrol grubu ile karşılaştırıldığında bu değişimlerin definasyon grubunda çok daha üstün olduğu gözlendi. Both training programs were administered 3 times a day for 6 weeks. Bu çalışmanın amacı kadın futbolcularda wingate, tekrarlı sprint (RAST) ve 30 sn çoklu sıçrama te... more Bu çalışmanın amacı kadın futbolcularda wingate, tekrarlı sprint (RAST) ve 30 sn çoklu sıçrama testleri arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesidir. Çalışmaya yaş, boy ve vücut ağırlığı ortalamaları 19.57 ± 1.28 yıl, 165.78 ± 5.04 cm ve 58.14 ± 4.80 kg olan 14 kadın futbolcu gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan sporcuların, wingate, 6x35 m tekrarlı sprint (RAST test) ve 30 sn çoklu sıçrama testlerine ait anaerobik performans değerleri rastgele örneklem yöntemi ile en az 48 saat arayla belirlenmiştir. Katılımcıların test öncesi, testin hemen sonrası ve testin 5., 7. ve 9. dakikası sonrası kalp atım hızları ve kan laktat değerleri tespit edilmiştir. Wingate, 6x35 m tekrarlı sprint (RAST test) ve 30 sn çoklu sıçrama testlerine ait anaerobik performans değerleri arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemede Pearson kolerasyon katsayısı, ölçümler arasındaki tutarlılık Bland-Altman Analiziyle değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmaya katılan sporcuların wingate, 6x35 m tekrarlı sprint (RAST test) ve 30 sn çoklu sıçrama testi öncesi ve sonrasındaki kalp atım hızları ve kan laktat değerleri arasında farkı belirlemede çok boyutlu varyasyon analizi (MANOVA) testi kullanılmıştır.

Although many studies have demonstrated the efficacy of strength training in increasing energetic... more Although many studies have demonstrated the efficacy of strength training in increasing energetic expenditure (EE) both during and after training sessions, there are no studies available that analyze the influence on EE of the order in which exercises are performed. Accordingly, the objective of this study was to verify whether the order in which exercises are performed, represented by 2 different methods of strength training (circuit [CT] and pre-exhaustion [PE]), influences the magnitude of the excess postexercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) as well as the EE. Eight nonstrength-trained women participated in the study. Two strength training sessions, with different orders of execution, were held with 7 exercises performed with loads of between 50% and 55% of 1 repetition maximum (1RM). The oxygen uptake was measured before the training sessions, and the difference between the values found was taken as the EPOC of each training session and used in later analysis. Calismaya yas ortalamalari 22.22 ± 1.83 yil, boy ortalamalari 175.97 ± 5.93 cm ve vucut agirligi ortalamalari 76.98 ± 11.42 kg olan 45 erkek sporcu gonullu olarak katilmistir. Calismaya katilan sporcular rastgele orneklem yontemi ile post aktivasyon potansiyel grubu (PAP) (n=14), statik germe grubu (SG) (n=14) ve kontrol grubu (KG) (n=17) olmak uzere uc farkli gruba ayrilmistir. The dependent variable was soccer playing ability and independent variables were the selected psychological variables. Soccer playing ability was determined through a 10 point scale at the time of competitions. Psychological variables included achievement motivation, anxiety, self-concept and aggression. The data was statistically analyzed using Karl Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis using SPSS. The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of lower and upper extremity strength on sh... more The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of lower and upper extremity strength on shot styles in tennis. 54 males and 19 females training regularly as experimental group and 24 male and 9 female volunteers as control group participated in the study. 24 training sessions were applied to the experimental group participants. Every week in a unit training, accurate and effective shot, practically forehand and backhand, was applied to the subject suitable for the technique and style by shooting 50 balls from the ball machine. The service was performed for each subject from the service point on the baseline line of the court in 20 units in one unit training. Maximum number of heart 30 to 50% of the beats were allocated for 10 min of general warming, and 70 to 80% of the maximum number of heart beats were allocated for quick strength; moreover, practices towards upper and lower extremity were applied beforehand and finger strength trainings. Voluntary participants in the control group were not subjected to any training program. Paired t-test was used for intra-group comparisons in the analysis. Two-way ANOVA was used to compare pre-test and post-test changes in groups with gender effect. Mean and standard deviation were used as descriptive statistics. Significance was determined as p ≤ 0.05. In conclusions, effective service training should be supported with a good ball thrower and effective material. Therefore, this study is important in terms of evaluating the effect of the tennis ball thrower on the performance of the athletes to correct the shoot techniques and improve their performance.

Twelve sedentary women (32-47 years old) voluntarily participated in this study. The 6-week training program consisted of exercise sessions on 3 days per week. The intensity of the training program that was kept low in the beginning was increased in the subsequent weeks. The training sessions including the warm-up and cool down lasted for 30-60 minutes. The analyses on the body compositions were measured regularly every week with bioelectrical impedance method. In data analysis descriptive statistics and repeated-measures analysis of variance were used. In the end of the 6-week spinning workouts positive changes were observed in many parameters related to body composition. Analizlerde, grup içi karşılaştırmalar için eşleştirilmiş t-testi (paired-samples t-test), gruplar arası karşılaştırmalar için tek yönlü varyans analizi (one-way ANOVA) kullanıldı. Çoklu karşılaştırmalar için Tukey Post Hoc testi kullanıldı. Tanımlayıcı istatistik olarak ortalama ve standart sapma kullanıldı. Çalışmaya yaş, boy ve vücut ağırlığı ortalamaları 19.57 ± 1.28 yıl, 165.78 ± 5.04 cm ve 58.14 ± 4.80 kg olan 14 kadın futbolcu gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan sporcuların, wingate, 6x35 m tekrarlı sprint (RAST test) ve 30 sn çoklu sıçrama testlerine ait anaerobik performans değerleri rastgele örneklem yöntemi ile en az 48 saat arayla belirlenmiştir. Katılımcıların test öncesi, testin hemen sonrası ve testin 5., 7. ve 9. dakikası sonrası kalp atım hızları ve kan laktat değerleri tespit edilmiştir. Wingate, 6x35 m tekrarlı sprint (RAST test) ve 30 sn çoklu sıçrama testlerine ait anaerobik performans değerleri arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemede Pearson kolerasyon katsayısı, ölçümler arasındaki tutarlılık Bland-Altman Analiziyle değerlendirilmiştir. Accordingly, the objective of this study was to verify whether the order in which exercises are performed, represented by 2 different methods of strength training (circuit [CT] and pre-exhaustion [PE]), influences the magnitude of the excess postexercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) as well as the EE. Eight nonstrength-trained women participated in the study. Two strength training sessions, with different orders of execution, were held with 7 exercises performed with loads of between 50% and 55% of 1 repetition maximum (1RM). The oxygen uptake was measured before the training sessions, and the difference between the values found was taken as the EPOC of each training session and used in later analysis.
