The need to implement more vigorously new approaches in teaching and learning has become a necess... more The need to implement more vigorously new approaches in teaching and learning has become a necessity for education. It is essential to use new teaching approaches and strategies such that creating knowledge and developing skills will not only be easier but also more meaningful to students. One of the new approaches nowadays in the field of science is the algorithm approach. Thus, this study assesses the effectiveness of the algorithm approach in teaching Physics. The descriptive type of research was used with the questionnaire as the main instrument in gathering data. Respondents of the study were 42 science teachers from Batangas National High School for the school year 2017-2018. The statistical tool used in the study was weighted mean. The study revealed that algorithm approach was effective in teaching physics particularly in encouraging independent learning in problem solving, making students solve physics problems more easily, and arousing students’ curiosity.

It described the PBL resources and the extent of their utilization along science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) components. It compared the administrators’ and teachers’ assessment on the PBL resources. Further, it identified the opportunities and challenges in these resources. A management program was prepared to enhance the delivery of STEM instruction. This study used the descriptive method of research with a questionnaire as the main data gathering instrument. Unstructured interview and focus group discussion complemented the results. Respondents were 124 administrators and 304 STEM teachers from the four Division of Batangas – Division of Lipa, Batangas, Batangas City, and Tanauan. This study determined the relationship of student teaching and comprehensive examination in the L... more This study determined the relationship of student teaching and comprehensive examination in the Licensure Examination for Teachers from 2014 to 2018. Using PRC LET results and grades in student teaching and comprehensive examination, this study employed documentary analysis and correlation research designs. Findings of the study revealed that the graduates received an outstanding performance in student teaching. Results also showed that more than one half of the graduates had fairly satisfactory rating in the comprehensive examination, and most of them did not meet expectations in the Licensure Examination. There is a significant relationship in the performance both in student teaching and comprehensive examination to the LET performance.
