Given the current legislation in force and its prior function of balancing the needs of social gr... more Given the current legislation in force and its prior function of balancing the needs of social groups, ethical issues have been products of the collective sense. A question about moral norms and how each individual subjectively interprets them is what motivates the continuation of this research. As a consequent example of individuals' disregard for subjectivity, we have shallow economic choices, which notoriously impact biodiversity and reflect on the social sphere in a relative way. In this scenario, urban planning and legislation are ineffective and insufficient. Therefore, we see the obstacles and opportunities on the way to the recognition that the conscious participation of civil society enables efforts to generate a sustainable society based on respect for nature, universal human rights and on economic justice.
