This Analysis used calculation and PSS/Adept program. For considering the technical loss in distribution system included: transmission line losses, power transformer losses, distribution line losses and low-voltage transformer and distribution line losses. The evaluation will be compared technical loss both 4 parts and compared technical loss from calculation and measurement which data included technical loss and technical loss. From this research found that low-voltage transformer and distribution line losses have maximum value at 78.72% and technical loss was at 3.33. So in controlling or decrease technical loss have to select appropriate and correctly method by must investigate both cost and most worthily.

Research paper thumbnail of High Efficiency Tracking Solar Cells for Lighting System based on White LED

ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Circuits Systems, Computers and Communications, Jul 1, 2007

The proposed system use the dc power generated by fixed solar cells module to energize White LED light sources that are operated by direct connected White LED with current limitation resistor, resulting in much more power consumption. This paper presents the use of white LED as a general lighting application powered by tracking solar cells module and use pulse to apply the electrical power to the White LED. These systems resulting in high efficiency power conversion, low power consumption, and long light of the White LED.

Research paper thumbnail of Utilization of photovoltaic for broadband satellite communications in rural area of Thailand

Proceedings of SPIE, Jun 7, 2013

To provide ICTs service in rural areas, sources of electricity and communication infrastructures must be implemented. Electricity is a major condition due to the fact that all electronic devices needed it in order to power on, so that it is impossible to operate any forms of ICTs in areas where the main national grid line is unavailable. Almost rural areas of Thailand where the main national grid line is unavailable have very good sunlight intensity. Photovoltaic is the most effective renewable energy technologies in those areas for meeting electricity needed in areas that are not connected to the main national grid line. In this paper, the efficiency utilization of photovoltaic as source of electricity for broadband satellite communication systems as well as social and economic impact and quality of life of people in rural areas of Thailand are presented. The results show that most rural communities would be able to universally access to the basic telecommunications services such as internet access and public telephone via satellite communication systems. However, in some field case study, broadband internet access via satellite communication may be unnecessary for some rural communities and the most exactly rural communities needed are electricity for household usage and battery charger.

Research paper thumbnail of Analysis of Lightning Surge Condition Effect on Surge Arrester in Electrical Power System by using ATP/EMTP Program

Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research), Apr 29, 2007

The condition of lightning surge causes the traveling waves and the temporary increase in voltage... more The condition of lightning surge causes the traveling waves and the temporary increase in voltage in the transmission line system. Lightning is the most harmful for destroying the transmission line and setting devices so it is necessary to study and analyze the temporary increase in voltage for designing and setting the surge arrester. This analysis describes the figure of the lightning wave in transmission line with 115 kV voltage level in Thailand by using ATP/EMTP program to create the model of the transmission line and lightning surge. Because of the limit of this program, it must be calculated for the geometry of the transmission line and surge parameter and calculation in the manual book for the closest value of the parameter. On the other hand, for the effects on surge protector when the lightning comes, the surge arrester model must be right and standardized as metropolitan electrical authority's standard. The candidate compared the real information to the result from calculation, also. The results of the analysis show that the temporary increase in voltage value will be rise to 326.59 kV at the line which is done by lightning when the surge arrester is not set in the system. On the other hand, the temporary increase in voltage value will be 182.83 kV at the line which is done by lightning when the surge arrester is set in the system and the period of the traveling wave is reduced, also. The distance for setting the surge arrester must be as near to the transformer as possible. Moreover, it is necessary to know the right distance for setting the surge arrester and the size of the surge arrester for preventing the temporary increase in voltage, effectively.
