However, it has been poorly explained to inform effective lifestyle modification of patients with Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH) Therefore, we described the illness perception of different clinical categories of FH patients (using the Dutch Lipid Clinic Criteria (DLCC) and investigate its association with sociodemographic and illness-related factors. Illness perception of FH patients varies according to the level of education and the presence of CVD. Patients with ‘definite’ FH have the highest emotional disturbances. These findings may help clinicians to improve the interventions suitable for FH patients. Illness perception determines healthy lifestyle of patients with Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (... more Illness perception determines healthy lifestyle of patients with Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH). Despite the availability of advanced treatment and preventive measures, there is still sparse data on illness perception of FH patients. Hence, this study aimed to describe the illness perception of FH patients and investigate its association with sociodemographic factors and illness-related factors. 100 FH patients were assessed using Pro forma questionnaires and revised illness perception questionnaire (IPQ-R). Illness perception of FH patients varies according to the level of education and the presence of cardiovascular disease (CVD). These findings may help clinicians to improve the lifestyle and treatment of FH patients. eISSN: 2398-4287© 2019. The Authors. Ankle sprain is one of the most common injuries among sports with high occurrence and recurrence ... more Ankle sprain is one of the most common injuries among sports with high occurrence and recurrence rate of over 70%. This injury can be prevented with proprioceptive trainings, such as wobble board training. These training can increase range of motion in the ankle joint complex and strengthen musculature of the foot ankle and lower leg. However, most basic wobble and rocker board lack biofeedback during training and objective assessment. Therefore, the aim of this project is to develop a portable and interactive balance board that provides multiple levels of training difficulty, combined with objective assessment and interactive virtual reality games. This paper presents the development of the InnovaBoard, its sensor performance evaluation and functionality in assessing balancing skill of healthy subjects. Results show that InnovaBoard has high accuracy of ±0.04% and repeatability of ±0.06 degrees. Preliminary trial shows the developed assessment program is able to differentiate significant difference (p = 0.05) between double-leg stance balance test with eyes open and close.
