Statistical research based on data is becoming more important. More challenging and difficult task in medical field corresponds to a prediction of disease outcome. For that, data mining applications are developed. For medical research group, high volume of medical data is collected and stored by using computer with automated tools. In this research, modified genetic algorithm+artificial neural network (MGA+ANN) algorithm is proposed for earlier cancer detection in the cancer features as well as for improving accuracy results of cancer classification. There are three major stages of proposed method. They are classification, selection feature and pre-processing. Pre-processing is done by using K-means algorithm for reducing noise data from given dataset. This handles missing features and redundancy features using K-means centroid values and min-max normalization, respectively. Accuracy of classification is enhanced effectively by this. Pre-processed features are given to selection of feature subset process for obtaining more informative features from the cancer dataset. It is performed by using MGA algorithm, and the objective function is used to compute the necessary and prominent feature based on the best fitness values. Then the ANN algorithm is applied for classification through training and testing model. It classifies the features more accurately using proposed method rather than the previous algorithms. With respect to accuracy, f-measure, recall and precision, better results are given by proposed MGA+ANN algorithm than existing algorithms as shown by results of experimentation.

The research deals with the main problem of traffic congestion and road accidents that is basically caused because of the improper parking management. So, it is mandatory for all the cities to have a well managed parking system. However, in the past many researches has been conducted to propose an solution that leads to suitable smart paring algorithm. On reading more about the researchers conducted in the past, it was clear that each research has its own pros and cons. This paper reflects on the research conducted to design an algorithm that leads to a cloud based smart algorithm that is secure and is convenient enough to develop a system that can be used to manage the available slots and can notify the users about the available parking slot beforehand to the client. The paper also focuses on the result analysis part that clearly shows that the algorithm designed is more acc...

India is considered as “Sugar Bowl” of the East producing approx. 15% of the total world sugar production. However, cyclic ups and downs of the sugar production have become the trademark of the Indian Sugar Industry and have affected the sustainability of the industry. While during surplus production the country faces problem in disposing off the plantation white sugar being produced by most of the sugar factories in international market due to quality constraints, in case of shortages, we find ourselves short of infrastructural facilities to refine the raw sugar. In India which is the world’s largest sugar consumer, the total sugar use in the country grew from 17.527 million tons in 2005 to 26.001 million tons in 2014, an impressive average annual growth of 3.4%. However, interestingly, the consumption patterns in India indicate that approx. 60% of the su...

Opinions or views about movies, products, politics or any interested topics of user can be shared using social networking sites in comments or feedback or picture form. Individuals opinion about political events, social, issues and products can be gathered and analysed by sentiment analysis. The proposed system includes preprocessing, feature extraction, sentiment classification using hybrid Bayes theorem support vector machine (HBSVM) algorithm. Preprocessing is used for removing unnecessary data, and it helps to improve the classification accuracy in the given dataset. Then, feature extraction is performed to select the prominent features based on the frequent terms. Then, apply HBSVM model for classifying neutral and non-neutral posts. Negative and positive are the class of non-neutral posts. Based on response to a post of various aspects, classification ...

Its foraging adaptation varies according to quality and abundance of food sources. The food habits also fluctuate according to season and habitat. This study investigated the diet composition of Golden Jackal using scat analysis method collected between November 2012 and April 2013 from Patna Bird Sanctuary (PBS), Uttar Pradesh, India. A total of 83 scats of Golden Jackal were collected and analysed. Sixteen food items were identified in Golden Jackal scats. Birds contributed maximum (ca. 38.92%) in Golden Jackal diet followed by rodents (ca. 12.14%), insects (ca. 8.92%), reptile (ca. 8.57%), vegetative matter (ca. 13.56%), rufous-tailed hare (ca. 6.07%), cattle (ca. 2.5%), squirrel (ca.1.42%), nilgai (ca.1.07%) and common palm civet (ca. 0.71 %). However (ca. 6.07 %) of prey items could not identified in Golden Jackal scats. Out of (ca. 38.92%) in bird’s contribution egret alone contributed about (ca.20.3...

A significant percentage of the flux gets converted into very fine particles, termed as flux dust, due to transportation and handling. Welding defects like porosity occur if welding is performed without removing these very fine particles from the flux, and if these fine particles are removed by sieving, the cost of welding will be increased significantly. Also if this flux dust is dumped, it creates pollution. The present study has been conducted to investigate the viability of developing an acidic agglomerated flux by utilizing wasted flux dust of the parent commercial acidic flux. The chemical composition and mechanical properties of the all-weld metal, prepared by using the developed acidic flux, were found to be in the same range as that of the weld metal, prepared from parent commercial acidic flux. The radiographic examination of the welded joint, made by developing the flux, was also found to be sound. Therefore the welding cost and pollution can be reduced, without any compromise in weld quality, by utilizing the developed flux, prepared from waste flux dust of the parent flux. Thus the work follows the concept of 'waste to wealth'.

SVM has shown its excellent learning and generalization ability and has been extensively employed in many areas. This paper presents a performance analysis of six types of SVMs for the diagnosis of the classical Wisconsin breast cancer problem from a statistical point of view. The classification performance of standard SVM (St-SVM) is analyzed and compared with those of the other modified classifiers such as proximal support vector machine (PSVM) classifiers, Lagrangian support vector machines (LSVM), finite Newton method for Lagrangian support vector machine (NSVM), Linear programming support vector machines (LPSVM), and smooth support vector machine (SSVM). The experimental results reveal that these SVM classifiers achieve very fast, simple, and efficient breast cancer diagnosis. The training results indicated that LSVM has the lowest accuracy of 95.6107 %, while St-SVM performed better than other methods for all performance indices (accuracy = 97.71 %) and is closely followed by LPSVM (accuracy = 97.3282). However, in the validation phase, the overall accuracies of LPSVM achieved 97.1429 %, which was superior to LSVM (95.4286 %), SSVM (96.5714 %), PSVM (96 %), NSVM (96.5714 %), and St-SVM (94.86 %). Value of ROC and MCC for LPSVM achieved 0.9938 and 0.9369, respectively, which outperformed other classifiers. The results strongly suggest that LPSVM can aid in the diagnosis of breast cancer.

This paper presents a comparative evaluation of harmonic reduction techniques which satisfy the current harmonic limits specified by the IEEE Standard 519, and at the same time provide a regulated dc output voltage. The techniques considered include active and hybrid filters, and various current waveshaping approaches for a three-phase utility interface. These techniques are compared in terms of their complexity (number of switches) and their component ratings. Based on the application requirements and the cost of active and passive components, this paper enables the estimation of the minimum cost topology.
