هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مستوى الرهاب الاجتماعي وعلاقته بالتكيف النفسي والاجتماعي لدى الطلبة الس... more هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مستوى الرهاب الاجتماعي وعلاقته بالتكيف النفسي والاجتماعي لدى الطلبة السعوديين في الجامعات الأردنية (الجامعة الأردنية، جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا، جامعة اليرموك)، ضمن مرحلة البكالوريوس، وقد تألفت عينة الدراسة من (180) طالبا تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية من مجتمع الدراسة، واستخدم الباحث مقياس الرهاب الاجتماعي، ومقياس التكيف النفسي والاجتماعي، وقد توصلت الدراسة في نتائجها إلى تدني مستوى الرهاب الاجتماعي لدى عينة الدراسة، وأن الطلبة لديهم شعور مرتفع بالتكيف النفسي والاجتماعي، وأن هناك علاقة عكسية دالة احصائيا بين الرهاب الاجتماعي والتكيف النفسي والاجتماعي لدى الطلبة السعوديين في الجامعات الأردنية.

The study aims to expose the vocational and psychological guiding and counseling needs of student... more The study aims to expose the vocational and psychological guiding and counseling needs of students at Al-Balqa' Applied University (BAU), and the study tool was implemented; after confirming the sincerity and stability of it, which consists of (60) articles, that represents the vocational and psychological guiding and counseling needs for its sample of (291) BAU students for the second semester of the academic year (2016-2017). The study results showed that level of vocational and psychological guiding and counseling needs of students at BAU is medium, where (28) articles of needs came at high level, while (32) came at medium level. It showed the existence of statistically significant difference at (α = 0.05) level between the arithmetic means of study sample members estimation on the articles of vocational and psychological guiding and counseling needs scale, as a whole, due to the sex variable of female, and the existence of statistically significant difference at (α = 0.05) level between the arithmetic means of study sample members estimation on the articles of vocational and psychological guiding and counseling needs scale, as a whole, due to the study phase variable of diploma compared with the bachelor degree, and it also showed the existence of statistically significant difference at (α = 0.05) level between the arithmetic means of study sample members estimation on the articles of vocational and psychological guiding and counseling needs scale, as a whole, due to the major variable of humanity and occupational compared with the science major. Keywords: Al-Balqa' Applied University (BAU) students, psychological guiding and counseling needs, vocational guiding and counseling needs period, which reveals the students prospective, directions, values, and mental abilities, in addition to their multiple needs and motives (Kolone, Scanlan, Karen, and Christine, 2006). University students considers the backbone of nation and the foundation of its advancement and development, where building and developing the society rest on their shoulders and lies upon them, and caring about this element and paying attention to them considers of great importance, since the process of preparing and rehabilitating them is the foundation for building society and its distinction, especially the students of technical and vocational majors, where the world turns today to the process of vocational education, due to increase in unemployment rates in the world, especially in the non-developing countries, where the political and governmental plans always refer to the interest in vocational and technical education and encourage its followers (Fogel & Melson, 2004). The student's personality cultivates and refines during the university period, and this includes student prospective, directions, needs, and multiple motives, also the stable social conditions provide wider opportunities to achieve a high res.ccsenet.org

Both a 75-items and a 30-items scales were used to uncover the relationship between religious com... more Both a 75-items and a 30-items scales were used to uncover the relationship between religious commitment and psychological security among a sample of (156) female students in Irbid University College. Answers revealed that female students are religiously committed as they are psychologically secure. The study has found out that academic average, and income influence the degree of religious commitment of sample, but not their psychological security. Meanwhile, the study proved that parents’ religiosity and relationship influence their daughters’ religious commitment and psychological security. In this retrospect, the study suggests to conduct further research that tackle the behavioural (treatment) aspect of religion on students, and father-child relationship, and psychological security.

This study investigated the optimism predictability and its relationship with psychological flexi... more This study investigated the optimism predictability and its relationship with psychological flexibility in a convenience sample of 487 Jordanian basic stage students who have faced a lot of psychological and sociological challenges during the outbreak of COVID-19 which has affected the formation of students’ personality, social relationships, psychological and sociological psychology, academic achievement and more importantly their optimism and psychological flexibility. A descriptive analytical approach was used to analyze the data. The results showed that the levels of optimism and psychological flexibility were moderate among students, and there was a positive statistically significant correlation between them in favor of females. The study recommended parents and school teachers, social workers and decision-makers to develop the students’ skills of optimism predictive ability and psychological flexibility among students as there is a strong positive relationship between optimism...

The study sample consisted of (381(female students, within two levels: the Bachelor, Diploma. The researcher used the measure of psychological stresses to achieve the objectives of the study. The study reached the following conclusions: 1. The female students encountered psychological stresses ranging from high, medium and low, and that female students encountered psychological stresses with regard to the high school, and psychological stresses ranging between medium and low areas of social family, health, and emotional development. 2. There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α=0.05) between the averages of estimates of female students on a scale of psychological stresses as a whole and for diploma level students. 3. There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α=0.05) between the average estimates of female students on a scale of psychological stresses and for low-income monthly. 4. There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α=0.05) between the average estimates of female students on a scale of psychological stresses and for living in the countryside. 5. There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α=0.05) between the average estimates of female students on a scale of psychological stresses and for women with the cumulative grade point average estimate of satisfactory.
