The sportswear industry currently encompasses functional or performance clothing, sports-related attire, and fitness clothing (Mintel 2014) and its global market is expected to climb from 97billionin2015to97 billion in 2015 to 97billionin2015to178 billion in 2019 (Sherman 2014). In recent years, individuals have become to wear sportswear, interchangeably used as active wear, not only for engaging in sports, but also for everyday occasions (Lockwood 2012). This upsurge has attracted a number of new entrants such as casual-end retailers, creating competition for the already crowded sportswear market.

They most often determine who will be considered the favorite of a specific match or fight. In other cases, they decide on the seeding of a player (team) in the tournament, or determine whether he will be able to participate in it at all. There is no one consistent methodology for creating sports rankings. Each discipline has its own rules. Some are based on more or less complicated mathematical calculations, others are based on the subjective opinions of the experts who create them. In this study, we will look at sports rankings on the examples of football, chess and professional boxing, which represent completely different approaches to the methodology of creating rankings. The FIFA football ranking is based on multifactorial calculations taking into account, among other things, the type of match played, its result, and the expected result of the match based on the analysis of the strength of both teams. In professional boxing, no single ranking has been created

Tornqvist Theil Index was applied to measure total factor productivity using output and input data of rice crop. The study was based on secondary data collected from various sources. The results of study revealed that there was a declination of area under rice cultivation. Maximum share of human labour to total variable cost indicates rice cultivation was labour intensive. Fall of growth rate of bullock labour and sharp increase of machine labour showed the awakening of mechanization. Declination of fertilizer productivity supported the fact that there was need of concerned for effective use of this input. The state had positive and significant total factor productivity growth throughout the studied periods. Expenditure on agricultural research and education, number of tractors had positive and significant effect on t...

However this feminization was not consistent with empowerment as still a these workforce are underpaid as compare to its male counterpart. The differences in participation between men and women workers were lowest to the states with higher share of workers in agriculture. In order to understand the factors determining this phenomenon, constraints causing the impediment the participation and policies to overcome it, a number of literature had been compiled in this paper. Feminization in agriculture occurred due to migration of male work force from agriculture. However, this phenomenon does not consistent with empowerment as women work force are always underpaid. Proportion of land utilized for food grain, per capita income, land holdings were some of the factors which were determining the women’s participation. In...

For ensuring prudent use of antimicrobials as a disease control measure on dairy farms, research is needed to study the consultation pattern and follow up practices in case of ailments of livestock taken by the dairy farmer empirically. The study was conducted in Punjab state of Northern India with 60 Veterinary Doctors and 60 Paravets. Data were collected by face to face interview using a semi-structured interview schedule. The study revealed that providing quick relief to sick animals was influencing the prescribing behaviour of 97.50 per cent veterinary doctors where as prior experience of treatment with the particular antimicrobial influenced prescription for 96.66 per cent paravets.95.83 per cent veterinarianswent for sensitivity test in case of treatment failure. Veterinary Doctor was ranked the most credible source by dairy farmer as far as treatme...

Livestock Production Systems at present are associated with regular use of antimicrobials which increase selection pressure on microbes to become resistant. Research is needed to understand veterinarians and paravets psychological factors that influence decision-making on antimicrobial use for treating diseased animals in dairy farming empirically. To understand the intentions of Veterinarians and Paravets towards antimicrobial use in dairy farming, the research was carried out in purposively selected Punjab state and data collected from 60 veterinarians and 60 paravets. Theory of Planned behaviour based Likert type scale was developed in the context of antimicrobial use. Theory of Planned Behaviour analysis suggested that Subjective norms were significant and positively correlated with intention towards usage of antimicrobials for paravet. Outcome attitude was signif...

Materials and Methods: The present experiment was carried out on 32 pregnant KF cows. In the control group, cows were fed basal diet. In T1, each cow was fed RPC (55 g/day), in T2 – GTE (3 g/d), and in T3 – RPC + GTE (55+3) g/day along with basal diet. The duration of the experiment was 30 days before calving to 60 days after parturition. Results: Feeding of both RPC and GTE significantly increased milk yield (p≤0.01), 4% fat corrected milk yield (p≤0.01), milk fat (p≤0.01), and total solid content (p≤0.05) than control. There was no significant difference (p≥0.05) in milk protein, lactose, and solids not fat ( SNF) content among the groups. Conclusion: Supplementing RPC and GTE in combination improved milk yield and fat content of the milk without altering protein, lactose conte...
