The results of a comparative analysis of the effect of the component content of plasma on the spe... more The results of a comparative analysis of the effect of the component content of plasma on the spectral composition of emission, translational temperature, and distributions over rotational and vibrational levels in excited states of a nitrogen-molecule ion and a nitrogen molecule in the positive column of the direct-current glow discharge and in the near-electrode region of the microwave and negative corona discharges in a mixture of helium and nitrogen are described. An approach that makes possible to reconstruct nonequilibrium distributions of populations of excited states of atoms and molecules with allowance for the overlap of atomic emission lines and molecular emission bands is developed.
