This paper presents the experimental analysis that was conducted on small-scale 1g physical model... more This paper presents the experimental analysis that was conducted on small-scale 1g physical models of piled raft foundation structures with a group of 2 × 2 piles in loose sand. The purpose of the piles was to reduce the settlement of the raft. The test program included twelve experiments, three of which were conducted on a raft alone and nine on piled rafts at pile distances of 3d, 4d, and 5d and pile lengths of 10d, 20d, and 40d, where d is pile diameter. The test results show that the current conventional approach to design of piled raft foundations, at a high safety load factor in piles that assume to take the whole external applied load, is very conservative. Instead, it is more economical to apply a low bearing capacity factor for piles as settlement reducers and maximize use of raft bearing capacity to carry part of the external load.

This paper presents project of rehabilitation of the bridge over the river Resnica in the municip... more This paper presents project of rehabilitation of the bridge over the river Resnica in the municipality of Koceljeva based on the documentation on the current situation. The existing bridge is road, reinforced concrete, beam system bridge, with the middle span of 4.15m and cantilevers of 0.64m and 1.05m At the point of support of the road structure, transverse beams of variable cross-section are made, which rely on the perimeter walls of the bridge. The terms of reference required the bridge to account for a V600 vehicle and to extend it from two pedestrian paths. The static calculation of the bridge was done in the Radimpex Tower software.

This paper presents the project of rehabilitation of the bridge over the river Paklešnica in the ... more This paper presents the project of rehabilitation of the bridge over the river Paklešnica in the municipality of Mionica. As part of the project, structural elements of the bridge have been examined, based on which the existing amount of reinforcement and the level of damage to the bridge have been determined. We are planning rehabilitation and reconstruction of the bridge that has a total length of 11.96 m, with two openings. The static system of the AB road plate consists of two simple beams with a span of l = 5.98 m. The width of the repaired road of the bridge is 5.50 m, with pedestrian paths 2x0.84 m. Rehabilitation of the existing road structure will be performed by adding carbon strips according to the dimension instructions of the manufacturer Sika, by Sika CarboDuo program, while pedestrian paths will lean on the new AB support beams of Г cross-section that are leaning on the vertical edge pillars, which in turn are leaning on the new subconcreted foundations.

This paper is shown the calculation of the above-grounded 12meter high with a diameter of 6m stee... more This paper is shown the calculation of the above-grounded 12meter high with a diameter of 6m steel tank for water and sulfuric acid storage purposes. Wall thickness, as well as roof thickness of the tank, is t=5cm. Construction of the tank is modeled by ABAQUS software package. The real tension condition in tank walls is obtained by observing expected cases of loads. Construction load analysis is executed according to European Standards.

The volume change of concrete due to loss of water through the exchange with environment or the s... more The volume change of concrete due to loss of water through the exchange with environment or the selfdesiccation during the hydration, or due to chemical reactions of hydrated cement with carbon-dioxide from environment, is one of the most undesirable phenomena in concrete. It is both an early-age and a long-term process, but from the structural point of view the shrinkage of concrete from the moment of its exposure to the environment is of most interest. Types of shrinkage, their causes, main influencing factors and possible measures to mitigate the shrinkage and its consequences are presented, based on the review and analysis of the latest published research in this field.

У овом истраживању приказано је рачунарско моделирање једнораспонске конструкције друмског решетк... more У овом истраживању приказано је рачунарско моделирање једнораспонске конструкције друмског решеткастог моста са коловозом на горњем појасу. Прорачунски модели третирани су као равански и просторни носачи израђени од 1Д коначних елемената са апликацијама за CAA: Tower и Bridge Designer 2016 (2nd Edition). Спроведеним рачунарским симулацијама добијени су резултати за међусобно поређење утицаја покретног оптерећења према препорукама два стандарда СРПС и AASHATO. Због тога је варијанта моделирања конструкције моста коју пружа програм Bridge Designer 2016 (2nd Edition) истоветно моделирана у окружењу програма Tower. Као важну информацију при избору рачунарског програма истичемо да са апликацијом Bridge Designer 2016 (2nd Edition) нисмо били у могућности да третирамо утицаје модела покретног оптерећења по домаћем стандарду-V600.
