The essence of such initiatives is that manufacturers are able to satisfy a constantly changing demand by using flexible "smart" machines. However, the implementation of all the technologies used by the Industry 4.0 in production systems is not easy due to significant challenges. Therefore, it is necessary to identify and examine the challenges faced by manufacturing companies when trying to apply Industry 4.0. Occupational safety is certainly one of the most important challenges of the new production paradigm, to which adequate attention should be paid. This challenge is becoming even more pronounced in the project environment because of the temporary nature of the projects. In order to improve the level of occupational safety, its adequate analysis seems necessary. One way to do this is to compare the subject area in different contexts. In this paper, using the PROMETHEE tool, a multicriterial analysis of the effect of Industry 4.0 on occupational safety factors at industrial projects in Serbia was performed, compared to the previous industrial paradigm.

Motivation: Systematic research on occupational safety is not so frequent in the Republic of Serbia. The lack of research that deals with safety climate in project-based organizations exploring the attitudes of employees in different industrial sectors is evident. In the research conducted by Milijic et al., (2013) a model for measuring safety climate factors was proposed and the following step is to identify the most important safety climate issues for each industrial sector as a key to fostering better safety performance. Chen et al. (2018a) concluded that engagement at all levels of the company is essential to fostering better safety performances as well as that safety awareness is the most important factor influencing workers' safety efficiency. The authors of the present paper seek those particular factors that adequ...

A conceptual model and three research hypotheses are proposed. The main objective of the paper is to test and validate the proposed model. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach is used. Testing involved a sample of 1892 respondents from 68 different types of organizations. The outcomes of empirical research validate the hypotheses and indicate that there is a positive correlation among them. The results are suitable for comparison with those of similar studies, conducted in both developed and transition economies.

The modern concept of copper production involves the selection and use of technology which is aimed at preventing the production of large quantities of waste by-products. Increasing the efficiency of the technological process is also important during tendencies to decrease negative impact on the environment. The aim of this paper is to develop a multicriteria model for selecting the optimal technological process for copper extraction. In order to achieve this goal, the analysis of thirty copper smelters in the world which are using various pyrometallurgical process technologies was performed. The model was developed on the basis of ranking the performance of operating copper smelters by systematically analyzing the technological, economic, and environmental parameters of the technologies applied. PROMETHEE / GAIA methodology of the multi-criteria analysis was used for the modeling. From the aspect of research findings, the results presented in this manuscript fill the literature gap. The major outcome of this research is the obtained model which can have practical merit. The decision-makers, faced with the need of evaluating and selecting the most appropriate technological process for pyrometallurgical copper extraction can benefit from this multi-criteria model. The ranking of available copper technologies applied in different production conditions was done by using the developed model. This resulted in the obtained rank of the available technologies. The findings of the research indicate that optimal results do not come from the best technology but from the best applied and the most appropriate one, depending on the practical conditions, in order to achieve sustainable production, sustainable consumption, and to reduce the impact on the environment.

The aim of this paper was to start the process of developing a safety climate questionnaire that could be used in Serbia. As a starting point a 21-item questionnaire was adopted after an extensive literature review. The questionnaire was distributed at several Serbian factories; 1098 workers responded. After a statistical analysis of the data obtained with the questionnaire and a critical comparison with the available reference results, a final questionnaire with 21 questions, divided into 7 groups, was developed. The 7 groups of questions (factors) were safety awareness and competence, safety communication, organizational environment, management support, risk judgment and management reaction, safety precautions and accident prevention, and safety training.

The sheer employees' characteristics, i.e., demographic factors, besides the organisational factors, have a certain influence in this area. By adequate understanding of both demographic factors and their influence, it is possible to apply measures to make the employees satisfied and motivated. This paper points out such influences on the employees' satisfaction and motivation. Also, the interaction of certain demographic factors is presented, such as the professional qualification, years of working experience and age, onto employees perceiving satisfaction and motivation and onto respective consequences. In order to determine the employee satisfaction and motivation, the responses from the employees to questions...

Employee satisfaction can lead to greater support of employees in achieving goals of the organization and creating a wider and larger market of products and services and higher profits. The paper's objective was to examine key elements that influence satisfaction and motivation of the employees in public sector, i.e. in PE "Post of Serbia". Public and private companies are different in material incentives which they provide to their employees, in fact public companies do not provide them, but are replaced by other factors of motivation and satisfaction, such as security. The paper also analyses the interactions between demographic factors-level of qualifications, years of work experience and age, on perception of satisfaction and motivation of employees as well as the consequences of these relations. Perception of satisfaction and motivation of employees is analyzed by using the responses of employees on questions divided into six groups: material conditions, safety, acceptance and social component, respect and status, selfconfirmation and loyalty. The research uses the questionnaire methodology to collect data and it includes 31 questions regarding the satisfaction and motivation of the employees and demographic questions. The statistical analysis of the survey results provides the information on this area's condition

The impact of different projects elements on the project's risk management process was also addressed. The initial hypotheses are based on literature review in the field. The proposed hypotheses were tested by the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) methodology on a sample of 311 strategic investment projects in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as Macedonia. The strategic projects were analyzed in companies across various business sectors thus the obtained results represent a benchmark of risk factors' significance according to the project team members and managers. The benchmarking of risk factors significance was conducted by using the PROMETHEE – GAIA methodology. The results verify the adequacy of the hypothetical framework.
