The research was carried out in arder to verify the effectiveness of the cross as categorical tec... more The research was carried out in arder to verify the effectiveness of the cross as categorical technique to develop critica! thinking in education students. This process leads to the formulation of questions, hypotheses, pointing out causes and effects to derive conclusions. The categorical cross allows the organization of information, promoting cognitive skills of analysis, inference, explanation, interpretation and evaluation. Research is experimental, with pre experimental design of a group with pretest and postest, administered in a population of 30 students of the fourth semester of the specialties of Computing and lnformatics Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics Laboratories and Social Sciences in 2014-11, Faculty of Education Sciences, National University of the Altiplano. Data collection was performed using the technique of examination, with the instrument of the written test. The results demonstrate that cross categorical significantly developed critica! thinking in education students; as expressed in the average score of the experiment group, whose differential value is Zc. = 15,4 which indicates the effectiveness of the progressive development of critica! thinking, making it a highly significant difference.
