summarization systems appeared. Since summarization is needed
the most in the process of searching for information on the web,
where the user aims at a certain domain of interest according
to his query, in this case domain-based summaries would serve
the best. Despite the existence of plenty of research work in the
domain-based summarization in English, there is lack of them in
Arabic due to the shortage of existing knowledge bases. In this
paper we introduce a query based, Arabic text, single document
summarization using an existing Arabic language thesaurus
and an extracted knowledge base. We use an Arabic corpus to
extract domain knowledge represented by topic related concepts/
keywords and the lexical relations among them. The user’s query
is expanded once by using the Arabic WordNet thesaurus and then by adding the domain specific knowledge base to the expansion.
For the summarization dataset, Essex Arabic Summaries Corpus
was used. It has many topic based articles with multiple human
summaries. The performance appeared to be enhanced when using our extracted knowledge base than to just use the WordNet

Despite the existence of plenty of research work in the domain-based summarization in English, there is lack of them in Arabic due to the shortage of existing knowledge bases. In this paper an Ontology-based Summarization System for Arabic Documents, OSSAD, is introduced. Domain knowledge is extracted from an Arabic corpus and represented by topic related concepts/keywords and the lexical relations among them. The user’s query is first expanded by using the Arabic WordNet and then by adding the domain-specific knowledge base to the expansion. For summarization, decision tree algorithm (C4.5) is used, which was trained by a set of features extracted from the original documents. For the testing dataset, Essex Arabic Summaries Corpus (EASC) was used. Recall Oriented Understudy for Gisting Evaluation (ROUGE) was used to compare OSSAD summaries with the human summaries along with other automatic summarization systems, showing that the proposed approach demonstrated promising results.

For strategists, they need to predict the KPIs future values to make good decisions during the design of BSC and the determination of the suitable target for each objective and KPI. From historical data, the dependency between KPIs can be discovered through developing traditional prediction model. Hence, the KPI future values can be predicted. However, such prediction does not consider the nature of KPIs in the BSC. The historical values of KPIs depend on the previously settled targets for objectives and KPIs. This raises the challenge of finding a solution to make more accurate prediction that considers the real values of KPIs beside the previous settled targets. For achieving that, we propose a solution that uses fuzzy logic to categorize the KPI values and then predict the future KPI values. Then, we develop a third predictor model as a data fusion module to predict the KPI values depending on both previous values and category predictors. We find that the prediction accuracy of our proposed solution significantly overcomes the normal values prediction of KPIs.

Simulation is known for its importance in the fields of research and operation management. It is used in many fields such as engineering, training etc. This survey is interested in the field of scientific simulation of business systems. Business process simulation is used to give the business owners a real view of their systems in certain aspects such as system's behavior, cost of resources, return on investment, and the time each process will take. By trying different input alternatives, business process simulation is usually used to save the costs of having a real system with potential problems. This paper emphasizes on business process simulation tools, comparing them according to certain evaluation criteria and presenting the recommended applications for each tool.
