Female educators have multiple hats as they have to juggle between professional and family duties... more Female educators have multiple hats as they have to juggle between professional and family duties. They are required to be subject matter experts and knowledgeable ones in teaching. Since teaching is a mostly female-dominated profession, professionals frequently need to seek between immense jobrelated workload and household duties from their daily life. The article aims to analyse the tasks the female educators have to perform at work directly or indirectly viz-a-viz the family duties they assume as individuals. Researchers scrutinised institutional requirements for female educators in relation to jobrelated duties, remuneration, teaching and office hours. Consequently, the work-life balance of women was assessed to draw conclusions on making the impossible profession possible. The secondary data were analysed and a survey in Likert scale and multiple-choice format was conducted among 81 school teachers from public and private general education institutions of Georgia. The research findings revealed the necessity for female teachers to possess time-management skills, balance female educators' workload to ensure quality teaching, and fill the gap of investing in personal and professional development.

What has become evident is that pure language learning is insufficient for effective communication. Communicative competence, which is a well-admitted goal in learning the English language, is defined as the linguistic competence and behavioral expertise. Understanding of the interlocutor takes place only with the knowledge of language and culture from which the language derives. Classroom is the place where theories, approaches, methods and techniques are tested for practical efficiency, validity or uselessness. The demand of the globalized world caused the shifting of educational approaches from the conventional and traditional methods to more contemporary, person–oriented and challenging ones. Georgia is a developing country. The multi-ethnicity of the population makes its educational system to be more sophisticated and tailored to the population needs and contemporary challenges. Communicative competence, an essential goal in learning English as a foreign language, is identified as the linguistic and behavioral competence. In addition, this study explores the contribution of culturally-sensitive English language teaching to students' increased awareness of culture. The study uses the culture tests, developed by the author, throughout the culturally-sensitive English language teaching course to check students' progress in cultural awareness. The research revealed that there is valuable benefit in adopting the view of inseparability of language and culture by teachers and using culturally-sensitive English language teaching. It is essential to increase students' sensitivity about different cultures in today's culturally rich environments.

It has become pivotal for teachers to raise their own cultural understanding first to be successful educators. This study demonstrates to what extent English language teachers in Georgia value and practice culture-sensitive English language teaching and learning. The study concluded that at first teachers have to grasp the inseparability of language and culture to achieve students’ success in gaining communicative competence in English language. Based on the results of the study, English language teachers, in order to raise their cultural awareness are recommended: to participate in periodic in-service trainings, workshops and regional or national conferences that focus on target and international culture; to receive in-service professional training through participation in professional associations such ...
