A better ANC coverage not only ensures a safer outcome from pregnancy but also provides a platform for improving the health status of mother and baby. Aim: To assess the utilisation of ANC services among the pregnant women and to study the associated factors related to utilisation of ANC. Materials and Methods: Present was a hospital-based cross-sectional study conducted among 250 full term pregnant women. Systemic random sampling technique was adapted to select required participants. Women were interviewed, using predesigned and pretested semi-structured proforma, to assess the ANC received by them. Categorical variables were expressed as frequency and proportions, continuous variables as mean and standard deviation. Knowledge of adolescents about non-communicable diseases and their risk factors are an important part of population-based prevention strategy. Objectives: To assess prevalence of NCDs risk factors among adolescents and to study awareness regarding NCDs and their risk factors. Material & Methods: It was a cross sectional study. 400 students of adolescent age from private school were interviewed over a period of four months. Data was entered and analysed statistically using Excel 2010 and Epi info software. Results: Majority of participants were from age 15-17 years. 7.25% were overweight and only 1% were Obese. In developing countries it is reported that many women/girls do not follow healthy measures for maintaining the menstrual hygiene. Objectives: To study awareness regarding menstrual hygiene among the women of reproductive age and find out practice related to maintenance of menstrual hygiene. Material & Methods: It was a community based cross sectional study; 200 women of reproductive age were interviewed over a period of four months (March to June 2019). People with poor knowledge and practice regarding diabetic foot care are known to have a higher incidence of foot ulcers. Aim is to assess the knowledge of foot-care measures and practices adopted by diabetic patients for foot-care. Total 400 patients were included in study. Only 78.5% patients had awareness regarding importance of inspection and washing of feet daily, 95.5% were aware regarding not walking barefoot, 51% regarding clipping of nails with care and avoid trauma and 54.8% regarding consultation with health care provider. Regarding practice, 65% inspect feet daily, 80.2% not go bare foot out-side, 31.5% clip toe nails with care and 26.75% consult health care when injured.

According to statistics released by UNICEF and WHO 2006 in India every five minutes a woman dies during child birth. Thus, maternal mortality continues to be a major public health problem. The focus on maternal mortality was sharpened when reduction in maternal mortality became one of the eight goals for development in the Millennium Declaration (Millennium Development Goal 5 or MDG 5). Maternal health care is important for better maternal, perinatal and infant health outcomes. High maternal and neonatal mortality rates are associated with inadequate and poor quality maternal health care, including antenatal care, skilled attendant at birth and postnatal care. Objectives: To assess the immunization status of children in the age group 12-23 months and to kn... more Objectives: To assess the immunization status of children in the age group 12-23 months and to know the reasons for non-immunization of children. Method: - A cross-sectional survey was conducted using WHO’s thirty cluster sampling technique in rural and urban areas of Bareilly district from August 2008 to January 2009. Rural areas were divided into blocks and blocks were divided into villages. Urban areas were divided into wards. Villages and wards were taken as clusters. During the house-to-house survey, a total of 240 children of age 12-23 months were included in the present study. Result: only around 50% of children were fully immunized while 27.5% were partially and 22.5 % were not immunized at all. Immunization coverage was highest for BCG (62.5%) and lowest for measles (39.2%). Dropout rates were 37.3%, 19.7% and 18.2% for BCG to measles, DPT1 to DPT3 and OPV1 to OPV3 respectively.
