This issue affects the performance of the machine learning models because the values of some features will be missing. Therefore, there is a need for a specific type of methods for imputing these missing data. In this research, the salp swarm algorithm (SSA) is used for generating and imputing the missing values in the pain in my ass (also known Pima) Indian diabetes disease (PIDD) dataset, the proposed algorithm is called (ISSA). The obtained results showed that the classification performance of three different classifiers which are support vector machine (SVM), K-nearest neighbour (KNN), and Naïve Bayesian classifier (NBC) have been enhanced as compared to the dataset before applying the proposed method. Moreover, the results indicated that issa was performed better than the statistical imputation techniques such as deleting the samples with missing ...

The formulation of buckley results in nonlinear programming problems. Negi [6]re-formulated the approach of Buckley by the use of trapezoidal fuzzy numbers and reduced the problem into fuzzy linear programming problem. Shih and Lee ([7]) used the Negi approach to solve a minimum cost flow problem, whit fuzzy costs and the upper and lower bound. In this paper we shall consider the general form of this problem where all of the parameters and variables are fuzzy and also a model for solving is proposed.

It is characterized by a constellation of findings that usually occur concurrently. These include vital instability, fever, elevated creatinine kinase, encephalopathy, and muscle rigidity. Having a high index of suspicion can reduce mortality and long-term complications by having a broad differential diagnosis when facing a patient with these symptoms, particularly if they are on antipsychotic medications. Withdrawal of the offending medication and supportive therapy are the most important initial steps in patient management. In this case report, we discuss the case of a 95-year-old male on quetiapine and memantine with a 2-day history of fever, rigidity, cough, and reduced activity after increasing the dose of quetiapine three days prior to his presentation. Key words: Neuroleptic malignant syndrome, Antipsychotics, Neuroleptics, Muscle rigidity Creatinine Kinase.

This study aims to evaluate the operative and nonoperative methods of treating distal radius fractures in children. Methods This is a retrospective cohort study conducted on 176 children with distal radius fracture. We studied the operative and non-operative treatments of all children presented with distal radius fracture to the emergency department of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Hospital from January 1, 2015, to February 1, 2022. The inclusion criteria were as follows: age of 17 years or younger, distal radius fracture with or without complete displacement and skeletal immaturity managed as of non-operative or operative groups. Patients who did not have follow-up data after the date of surgery were excluded. The statistical analysis was performed using the software SPSS version 23.0 (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY). Continuous data expressed as mean, standard deviation and discrete variables were expressed as frequency and percentages. One-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to compare the continuous variables between groups. The Student's t-test was used for the two-group comparison. For the comparison of discrete variables, a Chi-Square test or Fisher's exact test was used. Results Seventy-seven patients were conservatively managed with cast immobilization ("non-operative" group) in comparison to 99 patients who were surgically managed ("operative" group) with either percutaneous pinning (n=56) or flexinail (n=43). Fewer patients underwent physiotherapy in the operative group with 14 (25.0%) patients for percutaneous pinning and seven (16.3%) patients for flexinail versus 31 (40.3%) patients in the non-operative group (p<0.015). There were statistically significant differences in radial inclination (p<0.001) between conservative and percutaneous pinning (22.22±2.86 vs 18.76±3.33 degrees) and percutaneous pinning and flexinail (18.76±3.33 vs 22.37±3.44 degrees). Likewise, there was a significant difference found in ulnar variance between conservative and percutaneous pinning (-0.45±2.14 mm vs-1.47±1.93 mm, p=0.012) and conservative and flexinail (-0.45±2.14 mm vs-1.59±1.90 mm, p=0.009). There were a total of 25 documented complications. Nineteen (19.8%) complications occurred in the non-operative group versus five (7.2%) and one (2.3%) complications in percutaneous pinning and flexinail groups, respectively (p=0.003). The most common complication in the non-operative group was loss of reduction while in cast and subsequent need for surgical intervention. Ten of these patients underwent percutaneous pinning whereas nine were fixed by flexinail. Conclusion This study illustrated an overall similar success between the surgical and the conservative treatments of distal radius fractures in children. Due to the higher complication rate reported in the conservative group, the conservative treatment cannot be considered safer than the surgical treatment.

The propagation properties for the proposed O-PCF were studied numerically by utilizing full-vector finite element method (FV-FEM) using COM SOL M ultiphysics version 5.1. The confinement loss, the relative sensitivity, and the nonlinearity coefficient can be controlled by changing the factors related with the geometry such as the cladding in a range of wavelength, air hole diameter, and the core pitch. The proposed O-PCF is realized with three rings from the air hole in the cladding and two circular rings in the core region. Numerical simulation of the proposed structure is achieving the highest sensitivity by increasing the diameter of the air hole the cladding, while the pitch remains constant. At the same time, the confinement losses have distinguishable decrease with an increase in diameter as well as an increase in the number of rings within the cladding layer. In addition, the effective area and the nonlinear coefficient each of them is affected with every hole of the diameter and with the type of the chemical material used. The proposed model shows that the fiber is of a high efficiency not only in the sensing application, but also being distinguishable with the nonlinear optical application.

Corneal pachymetry becomes increasingly important in refractive surgery, for the accurate assessment of intraocular pressure, and in the preoperative assessment of other ocular surgeries. To assess the effect of dry eye disorder on the central corneal thickness (CCT) by comparing with CCT of normal eyes of age-matched individuals. The total number of eyes examined was 280 (140 dry eyes from 70 patients and 140 normal eyes from 70 individuals). Pentacam (Scheimpflug imaging system) was used for measuring the CCT of all eyes. Patients with dry eye syndrome had significantly lower CCT compared to the control group (P<0.01). Its mean was 536.5 versus 561.3, respectively. CCT of dry eyes was significantly reduced when compared with age- and gender-matched population. This result can be attributed to chronic desiccation by the inflammatory mediators in dry eye...
