The Baduy community is one of the tribes in Indonesia, which until now still maintains the basic cultural values they possess and believe in the midst of the advancement of civilization around them. In order to protect customary rights over its territory, the Regional Regulation of Lebak District Number 32 of 2001 concerning Protection of the Customary Rights of Baduy has been issued. The purpose of this research is to find out the basis of Baduy community to reject the disbursement of government village funds and to find out the protection of Baduy community environmental management based on the Baduy Protection Rights Law. This study uses normative juridical research methods with descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this study indicate that the main activity of the Baduy community is to save and maintain the prohibited land that has been saved by their ancestors. Therefore, the behavior of the Baduy community is always directed at the management of the forest and its environment and the management of land for agricultural activities. Based on the feeling of holding strong beliefs and customs, Baduy people, especially in Kanekes Village reject the village funds from the government whose purpose is to develop infrastructure. The Baduy people are concerned that the funds that go down to the village will have an impact on the preservation of nature because in fact Baduy is known as an indigenous community that adheres to customs, including rejecting things that are modern in nature.
