The procedures were carried out in seven steps: (1) identifying the classroom problems, (2) reviewing recent theories of educational product development, (3) developing the educational products, (4) reviewing the product, (5) validating the products to experts and revised according to get quality assurance, (6) small scale try-out and revised based on the result of the try-out, and (7) publishing the final product. The students learn the vocabulary through three activities, namely watching the learning video (listening and repeating the dialog and knowing the vocabulary), doing the exercises, and reading the summary. The product provides six videos based on the basic competence of Introducing Oneself and Others, Congratulating and Complimenting Others, Expressing Intentions, Describing Tourism and Historical Places, and Giving Announcement. The present research investigated Self-Regulated Writing (SRW) strategies used by EFL (English as a Foreign Language) university students. It contrasted the students' strategies related to the complex structure of the texts (i.e., paragraphs and essays) and students' writing performance. The data information came from two separate sets of selfregulated learning strategy questionnaire, as well as writing outcomes of the students. Descriptive statistics and the Mann-Whitney U test were utilized to evaluate the data. The six dimensions of SRW strategies were extensively utilized in paragraph and essay writings. Furthermore, educators and teachers of English see this innovative method as a viable choice for developing syllabus (Bishop & Verlezer, 2013). This article explains how flight attendants can use the flipped learning network (FLN) in collaboration with a Project-Based Learning (PBL) speaking syllabus. When access to the internet becomes more widespread, there will be a corresponding surge in technologically-based educational innovations, including FLN. The flipped learning approach is an alternative style of education in which students are taught in-site classroom and given outside class assignments (Chen, Wang, & Kinshuk, 2015

A sample of 30 students from a private university in East Java, Indonesia, was selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The assessment instrument consisted of five main components, and the reliability and validity of the instrument were assessed through various statistical methods. Results showed that the instrument effectively measured public speaking proficiency, with students performing well on fluency and eye contact and gestures. However, students struggled the most with the organization and structure component. The findings suggest that the assessment instrument can provide useful feedback for improvement in specific areas and offers a valuable tool for evaluating university students' public speaking proficiency. This information can be critical for enhancing teaching practices. Further research is recommended to validate its us...

This narrative inquiry research employed 23 students taking a TOEFL iBT test in the Indonesian context using the purposive sampling technique. The respondents answered a questionnaire and written questions related to the problems they faced during the test and their strategies to solve the problems. The test-takers’ responses from the interview were used to confirm the data from the responses to written questions. The researchers used an in-depth interview protocol to explore the test-takers’ strategies to solve the problems they faced when doing the test. The interview process was conducted right after they finished the test. The data from the questionnaire, written questions, and interviews were further analyzed descriptively. The findings showed that the test-takers encountered internal and external pr...

A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest and nonrandomized control group design was used. The subjects were 38 fourth semester students in English Department of Universitas Negeri Malang. The experimental group was treated by using Toulmin’s model of argumentation within TWPS strategy while the control group was treated without TWPS strategy. Students’ critical thinking ability was measured by using argumentative essay test. ANCOVA was used to test the hypotheses. Findings showed there was not significant difference on the students’ critical thinking ability. However, Toulmin’s model of argumentation within TWPS strategy proved to improve the students’ critical thinking as shown by the improvement of the experimental group’s mean score. Key Words : critical thinking, Toulmin’s model of argume...

TbI lesson plan was developed following Niess’s technology integration framework. The experimental research with pre-post measurements design was conducted in an English Department in a public university in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The data-gathering process was done by administering the TPACK self-efficacy questionnaire and conducting a semi-structured interview. The participants were 23 PSTs who joined a microteaching course where the researcher became the teacher. The quantitative data were analyzed statistically through SPSS 24 version and supported by the PSTs responses which were thematically analyzed. The results showed that the treatment affected positively to PSTs' self-efficacy which was later recommended to inhibit technological knowledge ...

One approach to the use of the Internet that has a lot of potentials for both teachers and learners is the WebQuest. This study aimed at verifying (1) whether the students would be interested in reading texts extensively in English; (2) whether an interactive constructivist environment would make a difference in an extensive reading task. This quasi-experimental study examined the effect of the WebQuest in extensive reading. The experiment and control subjects were from two different classes attending the fifth semester of English department at STKIP PGRI Jombang, Indonesia. The results showed that there is no statistical difference between the groups (p=0.575). The results also indicated that both approaches (the WebQuest and traditional) lead to learning and both are valuable teaching strategies. T...

In developing the final product, the framework of developmental model by Koper was adapted [1]. The final product was a listening courseware in flash application form accompanied by reflective learning journal. It consists of 4 units of different themes and different authentic listening situations which were arranged on the basis of difficulty levels. Each of the unit involve pre-whilst, and post-listening which were designed based on the theory of communicative approach. The division will guide students through the mental processes for successful listening comprehension, and promote the acquisition of metacognitive strategies in planning, monitoring, and evaluating. Apropos the communicative approach, although linguistic, pragmatic, strategic, intercultural, and discourse competences may naturally be acquired through listening practice, each of them is emphasized in some way. It also enclosed Islamic knowledge to support the vision of the university which is to be an internationally excellent university which is future-oriented in terms of science, technology, and culture for the benefit of those with akhlaqul karimah based on Islam Ahlussunnah waljama'ah An-Nahdliyah.

In addition, this study revealed how the variables correlated to the lecturers’ EFL teaching performances. Therefore, a correlational design with a descriptive explanation model was conducted. The participants were six EFL lecturers from six different universities in various cities in East Java Province, Indonesia. The data were collected by administering TPACK-SAMR DLC and technostress questionnaires, conducting a semi-structured interview, and documenting the teaching scenarios. The results showed that most participants were more confident with their pedagogical knowledge and content knowledge. They claimed it was hard to mingle them into harmonious teaching performances with technology that challenged them to achieve the higher TPACK-SAMR DLC level.
