This article will outline the purpose of their relationship. There are at least four issues that must be revealed: the case of the terminology of the Qur'an and Hadith, the hierarchy of both, the function of Hadith towards the Qur'an, and the explanation of Hadith towards the Qur'an. The most prominent function of Hadith in Islamic jurisprudence is to explain and describe the various contents of the Qur'an which are still global and multi-interpretable.
