Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan pengembangannya yaitu diolah menjadi sediaan kosmetik. Selain rumput laut, bahan alam yang dapat digunakan untuk sediaan kosmetik lainnya yaitu kencur (Kaempferia galanga). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan kombinasi bubur rumput laut T. decurrens dan kencur terbaik sebagai sediaan body scrub berdasarkan hasil aktivitas antioksidan serta stabilitas fisiknya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melihat perbedaan konsentrasi rumput laut T. decurrens dan kencur dengan perbandingan 1:1 (Krim RK1), 1:2 (Krim RK2), dan 2:1 (Krim RK3) dan tanpa penambahan rumput laut dan kencur (Krim RK0). Analisis yang dilakukan mencakup fitokimia, antioksidan, stabilitas sediaan krim dan tipe emulsi. Bubur rumput laut T. decurrens mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin dan fenol hidrokuinon, sedangkan serbuk kencur mengandung senyawa alkaloid, dan flavonoid. Bubur rumput laut T. decurrens memiliki aktivitas antioksidan sedang (IC 50 119,36 µg/mL), sedangkan serbuk kencur memiliki aktivitas antioksidan sangat lemah (IC 50 569,66 µg/mL). Hasil tersebut berbeda dengan aktivitas antioksidan pada sediaan krim body scrub yang mendapatkan aktivitas antioksidan sangat kuat. Nilai IC 50 pada formulasi krim RK1, RK2 dan RK3 berturut-turut adalah 1,60±0,12 µg/mL; 1,24±0,15 µg/mL dan 2,49±0,05 µg/mL. Hasil stabilitas sediaan menunjukan krim body scrub memiliki pH seimbang (6,3-7,33) dan aman untuk kulit, Berdasarkan hasil pengujian didapatkan formulasi krim RK2 yang merupakan formulasi sediaan krim terbaik, dilihat dari hasil antioksidan dan stabilitas fisik sediaan krim.

Methods: The RP-HPLC method was developed using a C 18 Sunfire © waters column with a mobile phase of acetonitrile containing 0.1% formic acid in water (60:40), respectively, at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min and was detected at a wavelength of 204 nm. Lynestrenol and levonorgestrel were extracted from human plasma using pentane with protein precipitation method. Results: The RP-HPLC method was able to selectively quantify lynestrenol in blood plasma on 40 ng/ml. The assay exhibited a linear dynamic range 40-1000 ng/ml for lynestrenol with retention time 4.0 second, and the coefficient correlation (r) was 0.9994. Accuracy (% diff) of this method was-10.81% to 8.72% with precision (CV) being 3.84% to 8.12%, and complete recovery was established to be 98.27% to 106.49%. The method was sensitive, selective, and has simple sample preparation extraction lynestrenol in plasma with pentane was successfully developed. Conclusion: The method can be used to analyze lynestrenol in blood plasma, with a simple pretreatment procedure using pentane.

In this study, lynestrenol was included in various transfersomal gel preparations for its transdermal delivery into fat (F)-andnon-fat (NF)-containing skin tissues.Methods: Lynestrenol transfersome vesicles were prepared by encapsulating the drug in varied concentrations of phosphatidylcholine and Tween80 using lipid film hydration method. Therefore, the objective of this study was to determine the best formulation from sunscreen evaluation. In this study, the ratio of Moringa oleifera and Turbinaria conoides was 1:1 (cream L), 2:1 (cream M), 1:2 (cream N), and control (no added both of natural ingredients) (cream K). The evaluation of sunscreen cream by Sun Protection Factor (SPF) activity, viscosity, pH, homogeneity, and microbial test. SPF values in this study from cream K, L, M, and N were 0.75±2.31, 17.80±0.97, 9.48±1.41, and 15.97±2.38, respectively. Viscosity values were 22,400 cPs for cream K; 32,400 cPs for cream L; 26,000 cPs for cream M; and 32,800 cPs for cream N. The pH value of sunscreen cream in cream K, L, M, N were 7.30±0.02, 6.51±0.02, 6.38±0.04, and 6.43±0.04, respectively.
